Iron Maiden this year, like priest last year shouldn't have even bothered with shitty ozzfest. Its insulting that they have to play before sabbath when both bands absolutly embarass sabbath in a live setting.

Bruce Dickinson made ozzy look like the old crippled has-been he is every night of that tour, and everything he said bad about ozzfest and ozzy is true. It is a corporate cocksucking tour, and ozzy is a reality show ass and shadow of his former self.

Dickinson has had like a vendetta against everyone and everything since they reunited. He hates corporate cocksuckers, mtv, people who label maiden a nostalgia act, and just about everything else that isn't iron maiden. And its worked out well for them, outside America they are hugely popular for their current albums alongside their classics.

They don't have to kiss sharon osbournes ass because they can do arena and ampitheaters in america while doing stadiums and massive festivals all over the world.

Sabbath with ozzy hasnt done a great studio album since like sabotage in 1975, maiden is still putting great stuff out.

Though Sabbath as a whole have made better music than Maiden (in my opinion), Maiden is still making great music while Ozzy is simply ruining every live performance by yelling "We love you all!" over the guitar solos. Maiden are absolutely stellar and have aged very well. Sabbath are now only Sabbath when they play their old songs.

Montsegur is outstanding....i didnt know anyone else liked that song! I fucking love it but i've read alot of bad reviews of that song on the ironmaiden.com message board of people saying "its the worse song on dance of death" its one of my all time favorites...bruce's voice is fucking POWERFUL in that song and IMO its a song that just grabs you and says "LISTEN TO ME BITCH"

Blood on the stones of the citadel... awesome. At the guitar part where it climaxes I just want to jump off a cliff, in that good way that good metal does.

Dance of Death was a good album, but it had a really wierd vibe all over it. Somthing like Paschendale or Motsegur was very maiden, then other stuff was all over the place. Some of it was very Dickinson Solo-esque.

Dickinson's new album Tyranny of Souls has some killer tracks on it. Its worth checking out.

I guarantee that none of the Ozzfest bands will have shit to say in favor of Maiden, at least not now. What disgusts me the most about the official comment from the Ozzfest site is this statement:

This is ignorant and absurd. I will find it very difficult to support anything that Ozzy does in the future. I really want to hear Norton's stance on this shit. We'll see how deep his undying loyalty to Sabbath and Ozzy runs.

Just giving me another reason to hate Sharon Osborne. First for having the balls to charge $100,000 for bands to appear on the second stage of Ozzfest. This is why bands such as Iced Earth, Nevermore, and Jag Panzer won't appear, because I don't see their record labels shelling out that kind of money, so we stuck with these crap core bands. Then for turning Ozzy into former shell of himself. Look I'm glad Ozzy finally got the respect he desrved from the mainstream, but I feel it went to far, seeing reports on the Osbornes on shows like Acesss Hollywood. Now she rips Bruce Dickenson and Maiden, please what the hell is she thinking. Maiden along with Judas Priest probably influnced more bands muscially then Sabbath has, and Maiden deserves respect.
