I know that I have had plenty of opportunity to do an AOTM or have seen some "wacky" news teases in my area...and I live in Bumfuck West Virginia. One of the probelms I am having is that I have no way to record from television and convert to mpegs or mp3s for the show. If you have the ability to strip from TiVo, convert VHS to mpeg/dvd, or rip audio from Television please let us know. It would be great if a few of you die hard fans that send media to the show regularly could help the rest of us dumbasses out.

Would it be possible for us to send our tapes etc. to insert name here so they can be emailed to Steve.

If you are interested in receiving an S-load of VHS and beta (VHS is just a fad)tapes and don't mind volunteering your time to convert these and send em off...please introduce yourself.

Well thats part of what my company does is rip vhs to mpg. 95% of the time its to be burned to dvd but I can do whatever with the master file like sending it to steve. but what would this entail? I wouldnt have time to go through everyone's damn tapes looking for something funny to rip. If this can be organized and have some rules set up, this is something I would enjoy doing in my free time for my fellow pests. Anything to make the show "more-gooder"

It would be up to the pests to determine what is funny. It isn't too hard to look at the counter give the duration of the "funny"

Would your wife/significant other wonder why 100 VHS tapes showed up at your front door via FEDEX? That is one big porn obsession.

OMFG, I also was born in Morgan City!!!. I live in Houma now, how fuckin weird. and I would not have the tapes sent to my house, lol. definitely the office

Well Well...we'll have to Praise madam Marie Laveau and cast some spells and do other caribbean schwoogie things, and then go to Ol' M.E. Norman Elementary and pick up some chicks.

So...would your work disagree to you spending your free time ripping video to mpegs and such? Does your company also do editing?

Man you're gonna miss the whitetrash S&P Festival next weekend. I hear it's a real hoot these days.
