Motivation.

What motivates you? I want to hear especialy from the older baggers. Ever just get sick of cleaning/ doing laundry/ I am totaly lacking motivation. :icon_sad:

And do not reply " Percocet or cocain." Thats not an option for me.

when it comes to laundry and things of that nature i usually put on some good music, nothing slow.. turn it up real loud, get rid of any other distractions and just get to it.

im also a freak about cleaning though and theres no better feeling in the world then when you finish completely cleaning your place head to toe and get all your laundry cleaned and put away and then you can sit and know that everything is perfect. im a freak.

I drop off my laundry and pay someone else to do it, works for me. I'll run the vacuum once every couple of weeks and I clean up as I make a mess.

For laundry, it is simply when I am out of clean underwear or shirts. Fortunately there are washing machines/dryers in my building's basement, so it is pretty easy for me to do a load (heh heh).

As for the motivating factor for nearly everything else: fear/obligation. Just how life is. Sucks.

I tryed the pay laundry service. But i wasnt satisfied with the job. im kinda like liz clean freak and my shirts have to folder correctly. I think they jam to many clothes in the waching machine (chink Bastards). However they did a great job dry cleaning my favorite harley hat.

sometimes i am jelous off people hooked on Perks, i know they are a nightmare when you get hooked,. But my ex gf was one motivated lil woman. Our house looked like a twinkling star.

What the hell are you talking about? Percocet is the farthest thing from a "motivator". It's Tylenol mixed with a dab of OxyContin--which is a depressant, not a stimulant!

True for the casual user. But my ex would take 10 in a shot! And run around like a crazy person cleaning. Now if she took Soma she would be catotonic. Thats a depressant.

To me motivation is about convincing myself to do the things that I don't want to do, or might not choose to do right away.

From being in the military for close to 8 years motivation is something that get's hammered into your mental processes and unless the person is a total slacker it's something that stays with you over the course of your life.

I like living in a nice clean apartment, and I know that if I don't do my laundry I don't have clean clothes to wear to work. If I don't do the dishes they start stacking up in the sink, which I hate and won't allow to happen. If I don't take out the garbage it starts stacking up, leaving more to be taken out and making it that much more of a task to do later on.

Sometimes motivation comes down to the person that needs motivation just taking a break, recharging their batteries and then when you're on a mental high doing the things that you need to do.

If you want motivation in your personal life watch a show like Dr. Phil or the local news. You'll see people on tv that's lives are totally fucked up, they've got a household of spoiled brat kids that have no manners whatsoever, they've got a spouse that's a total lunatic headcase, that's either spending way too much money or abusing substances. When I want motivation I look at people's lives that are so fucked up that they make my life look 100% better, that's motivation to continue living your life the best you can because there's always someone else who has things alot worse off than you.

My life is nowhere near perfect, but it ain't half bad either.

Motivation to me is a nice hot cup of 7-11 coffee.....And someday my son will leave this home and i can finally get good stuff without the worry he will destroy it.....untill than it is the normall rut..as for being a clean freak I am semi-clean freak....I'll vaccum and shit but fuck that dusting on the top shelf ..Also if I am down i'll put on one of those selfhelp shows or go to a AA meeting and remember how bad it really could be and where I was at one time....

My motivation for cleaning is when i can't find my shit anymore.

All in all, my motivating factor in these daily humdrum shit-tasks boils down to desperation.

I just tend to work hard and play hard. And for most housework I usually have a GF that cleans for me and does the clothes. Since I am between GF's at the moment I will just hire a Girl that will come in and clean and wash. While she is doing that I will go Golf or Fish or go to my message therapist. Life is great.

i pay a chink to clean my house, a kid to cut my grass, and i'm about to take my clothes to the laundry because im convinced that my wife is not washing them. i hate the mundane tasks in life and prefer to pay others to do them. i prefer art and my day job to the mundane things, i need little motivaton to preform the things that i want to do in those cases i am a driven person
