Im watching the pre-show and now understand why camel jockeys want to blow up this country. Is there a single person under 21 watching this crap except for me? MTV used to be rebellious and "against the grain," now they're everything they used to rebel against. as Michael Wincott said in The Crow, "The idea has become the institution." just like everything else on TV (and ironically, just like Howard on radio. ha!) MTV has become nothing but idol worship of stars who, for the most part, have no real talent whatsoever and catering to the "in crowd" (or in this case, more like "pandering").

I would definatly call mtv a BET lite these days. It sucks balls. Look at the list of nominees in all the categories. There are 3 different rap video categories and 1 listed as "pop video".
