If someone wants to send me a Western Union whatever its called to pay for an Ebay auction they won, is that safe? How does it work? Is it like a Postal Money Order or something that I can just go cash at the bank or what?

Please Help, someone from FRANCE won an auction and has no clue what PayPal Only means.

Basically it is a wire transfer. They pay a fee to send money and you have to go to a W.U. and pick it up.

They have W.U. Money orders, too. See if they can send one of those. They can be cashed at the bank.

you'll get a certified bank draft from wu to deposit in your account



wait untill it clears your account before you send the goods

Just make sure the asshole doesn't try and scam you with a fake money order for more then what the agreed price is and then ask you to send the excess back. It's the newest Nigerian scam bravo sierra.

HaHaHa, he aint getting shit sent until I have AMERICAN MONEY in my hands. I wouldn't sell to golfers anyways LoL. He's delt w/ USA ebayers anyways, and has perfect feedback, no Negs. so once I get my cash he'll get his winnings plus a few WOW stickers thown in to say Viva La WOW

Well my auction clearly stated PayPal Only, but this guy from France doesn't know what PayPal is, even though its ok to open a PayPal account in France, I called to see if they allow France to use PayPal and PayPal told me yah, no problem, but this guy mentioned Western Union, I've never gotten Western Union before so thats why I asked here, but now he's gonna send me Cash in US Dollars he said, so I told him to make sure its well hidden cash so you can't see though the envelope, so we'll see what happens...
