How can you call it a channel for guys when they show shows like "blind date" and other dating shows!? Are guys really into this crap!? NO! It's not even a guilty pleasure. WTF! MXC (Most Extreme Elimination Challenge) is a great show also. I love the over-dubbing of the voices, its reminiscent of MST 3000. Other than that, I couldn't even tell you whats on Spike TV except RAW.

This years Ultimate Fighter season looks fucking rad so far.

and they'll be having Matt Hughes defend his belt at the finale of the show.
It'll be the first time an MMA belt has ever been defended on "free" tv.

Yeah, MXC was awesome but didn't "have legs". I catch the occasional Max-X too. But I support the channel on the single fact that they have the balls to put MMA on regular television.

So true good concept..Bringing back Ren and Stimpy was big..But than John K. had that really gay opener and than nothing....It could still work but need like a great idea person...A kunkfu night..The weekend morning cars show idea is cool ..A show like MST3K but with a manly touch...etc..

Everytime I put on Spike TV I keep thinking I'm watching a channel devoted Syndicated shows or Paid Programming. A channel for men would be a good idea in theory but in execution Spike failed on every level. The last time they generated any sort of buzz was when Spike Lee sued them for ripping off his name (hoo hoo) and that was before they premiered. The problem is that for a true "guy" network it would need to push the limits, it would need to be controversy, and NOW and GLAAD should be protesting almost every show that comes on it. They seem afraid of doing anything original or creating new programming that might make them break through everything else. Ren and Stimpy was a step in a right direction, then John K went AWOL apparently but other than that, it's a network that's almost embarassing to men. Trucks? Fucking Trucks? What are we 12? They don't know what it is men want to watch but just want to go under the "television for men" banner. Channels like Comedy Central and FX more cater towards penisses than this awful mess of a station.

EDIT: MST3K is just as manly as Star Trek: TNG or DS9, if not more so.

For the UFC spike is alread good enough for me. Most of the other crap, except for the occasional MXC (not enough legs for it though) I dont watch. But to have the balls to try and mainstream the MMA and UFC is pretty cool
