I thought it was a little bit overdramatic at times and would have been much better as an HBO miniseries or something. I am still going to be watching it though.

the only things that really bothered me were the fact that it was on fox (I was still surprised how far they took it though) and the "blueprint" tattoo. I didnt think they needed to show the blueprint appear on his chest like that - the animation really bothered me for some reason.

Dont get me wrong, I am not complaining about the show or saying I didnt like it, but Im going to find something wrong with every show I watch.

Also, the fact that it said this was the "season premiere" and not series premiere has me a little worried. Does this mean that they are planning more seasons and they wont even be escaping this year? That would seriously piss me off since I think it would get old the way that House has (how many times can you misdiagnose a disease then correct yourself in the last 5 minutes?).

Again, I loved the show - especially the scene with the toe getting the ol' moonachie snip.

Since the first day contained two hours of shows, don't expect the show to move any faster than it did on Monday. The show is better than most of the crap that networks put out. I feel that since 24, LOST, and other serial shows became popular, FOX needed to remain dominant in that type of show with huge season-long story arcs.

I would check thursday for a possible repeat.

I liked the premise of Prison Break, but it has been done before in the Shawshank Redemption, The Fugative, and others. The whole conspiracy with the involvement of the secret service and the vice-president is intriguing but can get lame if not done correctly. The inclusion of the bishop was just some thriller filler. It is a good thing the producers picked hot female leads to counter-act the prison gayness. The whole body tatoo is just a gimick. If the structural engineer was as smart as he thinks he is as shown in the flashbacks, he wouldn't need the whole body tatoo. Overall I believe that prison break was FOX's strategy to counter-act the publicity of LOST since not many people can remember the intracies of plot for 3+ serials( include ONA if you want) when people have their own lives.

No silly. The brother that designed the prison is in there under an assumed name. They haven't explained it yet, but they have elluded to it. He apparently took over someone's identity. That's why he's getting the insulin shots but he's not diabetic. That would explain the different name.

On his first visit he found out which way the storm drains run. Also the hottie -- I mean doc -- is the governer's daughter which may come in handy at some point.

When a network airs the same show twice in a week, aside from building a fanbase, usually they need two hours worth of commercials to pay for the episode.

This monday's episode was mostly filler. Basicly he got his old roomate to return, more of the secret service conspiracy is revealed, and he used chemicals to burn through bars in the sewer.

Next week, he will finally be put under pressure because the secret service has dirt on the warden and he needs to start his escape then which probably will be at the last 5+ minutes of the show.


It is a good thing they picked some hottie woman leads for the show.

The girl and guy are still in the woods, but as scenes for next week show, they won't be much longer.

The "bad guys" haven't covered up one body they've murdered, which is odd. A priest being shot in the head in the middle of the night would be national news, yada yada yada.

I still don't see how the actual breakout is going to be wrapped up in one season. This is definitely going to get dragged on and on and I don't see the writers being strong enough to carry the show.

Prison Break is a great show. I haven't watched many shows that really leave you hanging at the end (besides Lost). This week was no different. I did read that the entire story will be 44 episodes (I could be wrong). So they should be escaping soon, and then the story focuses on their survival outside of prison. That's probably next season.

There is no way he is going to die yet. I think it is possible that Michael switched the fuse or something...Remember the chair guy was talking about the fuse. I would have incredible respect for the show if they killed him but it is not going to happen...
We have see that the VP is influencing the governer so there is no chance of clemency. He may get killed because hollywood loves to create storylines/issues that they can back as if they are real... ie an innocent man being executed...

Or for a completely wacky storyline...They fake the execution and move him into witness protection...And everyone thinks he is dead. We shall see..

Tweener telling Bellick about the escape had to be part of the plan, just because everything is part of Michael's big plan. Personally, I think he wants the guards to think they're escaping out that hole, and then go the other way, through the pipes under Psych Ward. If all the guards are pre-occupied trying to catch them in the Guard Shack, they can run down that 30 feet of hallway he mentioned last night. This show really is great. It's so suspensful...but still, nothing gets accomplished, everything just gets worse for them.

The episode was good up until the last two minutes. There's no way they'd be able to get away in the situation they're in now. However, the doctor ODing, the President dying and T-Bag getting his hand cut off were all very cool.

Very shitty payoff IMO, but it is what is. The Doc OD was pretty nuts, she may still be alive though as the officer said, "possible DOA". So, next season they are on the run. There's a nice set up for a squabble over the $5+ million. I recently read an article by the writer in Entertainment Weekly where he says there will definately NOT be a Season 4. Originally he mapped out 2 seasons (44 Episodes) but will now have 3 and that's it. Should be exciting though.

I kinda like the new trend in TV where they've broken down some shows so they are run in 1/2 the season, such as 24. It would be nice if that would become the new standard. Essentially 2 seperate viewing seasons will all episodes straigh through. Prison Break could be the Monday @ 9 timeslot from Sept - January & 24 could be from January - May.

Guilt was kinda implyed. After she left the door unlocked they showed her look over at the morphine. I still dunno if she's really dead. That show makes you think people are dead, then bring them back, a la Abruzzi getting his throat cut.
