I was wondering why XM recently put a trademark on the name NeXus.

Pics and stuff thanks to www.xm411.com and www.Talkradiofans.com !!

I don't think it'll be an XM2go. You'll have to record Xm and play it later like SIRIUS did.

If that turns out to be the case, I thought that this was dumb when Sirius announced it. I still think that it's dumb now that XM has announced it.

Yeah, this radio is just meant to be a counter to what SIRIUS did I think. This radio won't be very expensive.

I hope this radio is sucessful to the point that samsung realizes that it is time for them to make it an xm2go

I don't think it's really a 'radio' more like a MP3 that can dock to a XM receiver and record/playback it in MP3.

well you can listen to XM live at the home dock or the car dock. So its basically just a skyfi 2 but only with MP3 capabilities and an IPOD look to it

Is it essentially an XM version of that G 50 Sirius unit?

Yes, there are more similarities than differences. Hopefully, price will be one of those differences.

alright I am sorry my comment was uncalled for.

This isn't about TRF.

edit: I won't make a thread about this only when rumors get bigger. Remember when XM put a patent on the word neXus a few days ago? I herd that they put it on Remora too.

May be Remora is made by samsung but is an expensive and nice xm2go.

Guessing the Remora is the 512 mb version
Nexus is the 1g version

Kind of fucked up people all over the place are praising this thing after utterly bashing the Sirius's S50

Making XM fans/pests look like idiots/assholes

I haven't seen many people praising this unit. Many are aware that this is very similar to the Sirius S50, but are holding judgement until the price is released.

If this is released the same time as the S50 for around $200 (the 1gb version), then this will destroy Sirius's flagship product. Making this another devastating blow to Sirius.

Samsungs similar unit (1g mp3 player) sells for $129

$199 is not a bad guess
Go to orbitcast and see the posts, its disgusting
