Don't know if they're still talking about the hurricane, but here's my problem with the few minutes I heard on the way to work this morning:

They said "Why are they worried about looting?" and "Why don't they drop food in?"

The reason they are worried about looting is that they have to establish order in the area before they can send in medical help and other assistance. I really don't see the need to bash Bush over that idea, it is logical.

The reason they don't drop food in is pretty simple (if it hasn't already been pointed out). You've got thousands of starving people down there. You start dropping in food, and you're going to create a stampede/riot situation as the people fight for the food.

I do agree that the President has really screwed up in this whole thing. The picture of Bush playing guitar with that horrible country singer the day the hurricane hit really makes me wish I could go back in time and vote for someone other than GW.
