Ahoy, squirts! Quint (quint@aintitcool.com) here with some awesome news for us Farva or Ramathorn or Coconut Pete fans! Broken Lizard (http://www.brokenlizard.com/), the comedy troupe composed of Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Erik Stolhankse, Steve Lemme and Paul Soter, is responsible for SUPER TROOPERS, one of my favorite comedies of the last decade and CLUB DREAD, a flick I still really dig despite the haters out there.

Warner Bros. has signed the team up for a three-year, first-look deal not only for their own pictures, but for new talent they find. I'm sure the financial success of DUKES OF HAZZARD played a bit part in WB giving them this contract.

I interviewed the group when they came to Austin to promote the DVD of CLUB DREAD (check that out here!!! (http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=17646)) and they told me of 3 projects they were working on... BEERFEST, which they described as being about "underground beer games drinking competition, like BLOODSPORT or FIGHT CLUB," GREEK ROAD, which is the team being the team in ancient Greece (and it's supposed to be raunchy as all hell) and a movie where they play waiters in a restaurant owned by Mike Tyson... Weirdness all around. Hopefully now we'll see BROKEN LIZARD working on a project that's 100% BROKEN LIZARD. And bring back Brian Cox!!!

I loved super troopers (fav part: using the radar detector during jacking) but Club Dread was just ok for me, a couple of funny parts but nothing crazy. I am very willing to give them another chance.

I didn't care for Super Troopers the first time I saw it, then loved it the second time.
I didn't care for Club Dread the first 2 times, but liked it better after 3.
