Limewire

Saw that alot of people here use it. Is there a lite version now? I reluctantly removed it a few years ago due to all the spyware, malware, and other various hidden apps it comes bundled with. Great P2P though.

I use Limewire all the time and never had a problem. I'm on a Mac though so it might be different.

spybot doesnt work on my computer for some reason..is there another spyware program that i could use?

i use ad-aware but it doesnt get everything

^^^ I would probably go get hijackthis, run a scan, and get the log checked. Things like limewire, kazaa, and Imesh usually install hidden apps that you never know about. To top it off, if you remove the hidden stuff, the programs wont work. It's all in the fine print in that long ass 98763465876 word user agreement. Thats how they all used to be, unless you had a lite version. That's why I ask.

the new version of limewire just came out and it owns. no spyware/adware as far as i can tell. just remember to go into options and change the upload settings (default = 3 slots per person and 20 uploads allowed at a time) that could really slow your comp down. i have it set to 1 upload per user and 2 uploads at a time max.
