ROFLMAO
From Staff Reports
The far-reaching effects of Hurricane Katrina have reached Midland's Church's Fried Chicken fast-food chains, in that they had no white meat to fry Saturday because of storm-related shipping obstacles, the Reporter-Telegram confirmed.
Workers at both the 202 South Midkiff Road and 1400 North Big Spring Street locations said they were serving only dark meat, as the restaurants had not been able to resupply with white meat due to the hurricane.
An assistant manager at the Big Spring Street location, when asked how long the restaurant is expected to be without white meat, called the manager, who declined to immediately comment on the situation. An employee at the Midkiff Road location said they are hoping to get white meat as early as today.
Chick-fil-A, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Popeyes Chicken workers all reported having white meat, with a KFC worker saying some Church's customers had come to their restaurant looking for breasts and wings.
Earlier in the week, Church's had white meat but was without dark meat, a Reporter-Telegram staffer learned.
