Anyone see Saw and like it? I loved this film...definitely scared the shit outta me. I didn't wanna go straight home afterwards...i know i know..pussy. Saw an ad for Saw 2 today and I'm pretty pumped for it. I hope it lives up to the first but most sequels suck so I hope that isnt the case. Any other fans of Saw out there?

i honestly thought it wasnt great and uncomparable to seven in any way. to me it felt like the movie was porous in a sense and gave itself too much credit or leeway in parts of the story that would normally not be believable

not awful, better than a lot of the crap horror thats been recent, but its not a whole lot better

Uncomparable to Seven? Basically, the killer killed the victims in the way of their sins/weaknesses. A very similiar premise to Seven.

Having said that, I will state that Seven was a fucking classic, where as this one is just a great horror movie.

Ring Two was better than most people made it out to be, but was no where as good as the first. Was just a little more plot and more of the same scares...Which were really great, imo.

No, way?! You really saw the ending coming? Im not a big horror flic guy but that movie was legit. The ending blindsided me. I cannot wait to see the sequel b.c i enjoyed the first so much.

I call bravo serria .....I can usally figue out a ending just because the director wants that big twist at the end.....As said before Saw was welcome breath of fresh air in the horror realm.....As for a saw2 dunno ..But Saw was a cool film...

that whole ending sequence with the music and the "dead" man getting up and walking out of there in slow motion gave me serious chills....whew..still get chills thinking about it...and the screams coming from the kid left in there to die

so its comparable in a superficial "they stole the basic premise of seven" way. as far as quality, writing, acting, and lasting impact, saw isnt even allowed to look in the direction of seven

I actually was very surprised by the ending of Saw, and that saved what otherwise was a pretty predictable movie for me. That being said, they obviously can't use the same twist ending in the sequel, which will make it that much tougher to deliver a flick that is equal to the first.

I just watched a flick on Encore that was sort of entertaining, a direct to dvd flick called Mad as Hell, starred Eriq LeSalle as a guy who claimed to be satan, checks himself into a nuthouse. I saw it on the shelves of blockbuster, gave it a pass, now I may have to go rent it & check it out a bit closer.

Thats exactly how I figured it out. I was thinking about how these movies always have that crazy twist and guessed that would be something that no one would expect...and there you have it. That and in the begining of the movie they said how the kiler liked front row seats to all his games.
