I really like the show. House's uncompromising and very unPC. It is also a good mystery show without murders/deaths but about helping people and the lack of death on every show is a breath of fresh air.

Used to like the show but dont really watch it anymore. I do have a theory about tonights episode though.

Sombody will get sick. Everybody will think they are curing him/her and the patient will start to get better. During this time, some sort of internal conflict will occur among the staff causing tensions to rise in the hospital. With appoximately 15 minutes of show left, the patient will get really sick again and nobody will know why. 5 minutes remaining, Dr. House realizes that the patient in question has been inadvertantly inhaling Krypton fumes coming from a broken flourescent lamp and miraculously the patient will be cured with a simple shot of some clear fluid.

Just a guess.

Personally I will stick to more realistic shows like the O.C. I sure hope theres another drug induced high school orgy this week. Rachel Bilson is hot.

Yeah, the show is completely systematic, but for some reason it doesn't bother me.

you're right, the show is a formula...but isn't every show?

I mean Law & Order / L&O CI / L&O SUV is the same show...

There's a murder, the cops interview the witnesses, they make a case, the lawyers try the case. Sometimes they win , sometimes they don't.

CSI / CSI NY / CSI Miami is the same show...

There's two murders and eventually the guilty one is found because of a hair or body fuild found at the scene...

NYPD Blue is the same show...

There's 2 crimes in the naked city and the old cop and his younger partner (who he either loves or hates) break the "perp" down and make him confess and a hot guy cop or hot girl cop show their ass.




All were successful. In fact "stand alone" episodes have the highest ratings in re-runs because you don't need to follow a storyline from one episode to the next...

The theory may be 100% but they still manage to put some good story lines within the episodes. The one last season where its revealed how his leg got all fucked up was one of the best tv episodes of any show all last year. I almost gave up on it after the 3rd or 4th last season but then they started to give the characters some value. It also has some really hilarious lines. The one where Cuddy stops the guy comming into the hospital and house does the scooby-doo 'uh oh' was great.

It's true that House does lack a little bit of reality in the cases that are presented each week. But if you want normal hospital shows watch E.R.. House ups the ante, and very well, without turning it into Sci-fi-like miracles.

Also some people comment how the conditions they come up with are so crazy that it turns you into a hypochondriac. Well I get that little bit when I watch, but I also have a little sense of false security since the hospital is supposed to be set in NJ.... "If I get that Dr. House can take care of me!"

No. If I remember correctly, it was a tumor on one of his glands which made him sick and he has to have blood transfusions on a regular basis because of it.

I liked last night's episode as well. The maggots seriously skeeved me out.

The only thing I didn't like was the ending. I think they're trying to make it look like he was buying a hooker, but I don't think that's what she is. She's probably just a masseuse or someone to help him with his leg. Then again, she could have really been a hooker, but I just didn't get the vibe from her.

One thing I love about this show is that each preview looks better than the last. I'm already excited for next week's (Monday, they changed the day for it next week) episode.
