Much love to Lazlow! I have loved everything I have heard from way back on GTA3's Chatterbox 103. Then found out he did all the fake commercials, too. Then started listening to O&A 3-4 months ago and loved him on there. His K-Rock show is fantastic, too. I download it every week. I probably sound like a creepy super fan or something. Oh well, after playing hundreds of hours of the GTA games, you really appreciate all the little things in the audio of the game. Anyway. Yeah. He deserves a ticket more than anyone else that I can think of.

I've mentioned it here before, but I'm one of the people who's really hoping for Lazlow to get a golden ticket. I know for a fact that he'd like one, since he's interested in continuing his show but KROCK isn't working out for him because of bullshit from the enemy. It's really way too soon to be talking about any sort of timeslots, but seeing as his show is already only weekly I'm sure he wouldn't neccesarily be expected to do a regular daily radio show.

I'd also like to have the 2-3 hour be filled up with something besides just O&A worst-ofs eventually. I've been thinking that some kind of semi-alternating Lazlow/Ron and Fez/O&A/ mixed best-of hour might work very nicely.

The Lazlow show is really amazing. I've been listening to the episodes off his website and it's everything I would expect from the guy. Just great radio. It could help fill an important niche in XM 202 and that's just the only place it belongs. I'm personally not going to be happy until I know I can tune in and hear it on a regular basis.

Also, as a note. Wayne, Reed and I would like to thank the fans in the New York area listening and the tens of thousands of people worldwide coming to download this show. The emails are amazing. It has been so overwhelming that even our Internet provider called us asking why a bajillion gig is being downloaded each day. We’re trying to figure out a way to pay for the bandwidth, as it’s more than massive at the moment. Like, costing us money. Like, more massive than the “shift fee” K-Rock pays anyone who walks in the door to baby-sit a hard drive that plays music for 4 hours. We said from day one we’re not playing the music – instead - doing our thing – talking for four hours, playing produced bits. This is a blast, and people would kill to have 4 hours on THE NYC rock station, but if we don’t get signed to something that can at least pay Reed’s heating bill, buys Wayne a new circular saw and pays my comic book bill, we agreed as a team from day one we’ll shut this thing down before end of year. It’s fun as hell, and being on the biggest rock station in the nation for four hours each week is cool, but Reed’s unemployed and looking for a job, Wayne makes good money as a carpenter building houses, and I got a one man production company trying to produce stuff for clients between video game projects. With the defunct playboy channel was a perfect chance (weren't they 203? cant remember) to fill in a bunch of shows there. Bunch of shows they can fill in there that might start or be looped after OA/RF shows. Get Lazlow before he goes broke, his show is gold for some of us techie guys. O&A will hire whoever they want to hire.

If you think Lazlow is a no-name, you need to check out his work on the GTA series. If we're really gonna talk about who's more famous, Ferral just doesn't match up.

Lazlow has been doing a weekly four hour show on K-Rock for the past 12 weeks. He broadcasts on Sunday nights and posts the commercial free shows on his website within a day or two of their airing.

The reason he was invited to do the K-Rock show is because he's known for producing all the audio in the Grand Theft Auto series including all of the radio stations. He was the DJ on a few stations throughout the series himself, and did a few hours of talk radio for them. If you know GTA, you know Lazlow. The guy also does a few syndicated radio techie segments for the money.

I'm not going to argue that Ferral uncensored wouldn't be cool. Personally from what little I've heard from the man, I'm not impressed with him or his fucking voice very much at all. But that's why there's space for several shows on 202. People like different things. You can argue that you don't think the bbboys have as much control as they say, but that's not really backed up by anything beyond your own baseless speculation.

The Lazlow show is great. Lazlow is a big name talent in certain industries with a lot of fans all over the world who would probably check out XM just to hear more radio from the guy.

The Ferral show is probably great, too. It's certainly been around longer and I'm sure it has plenty of fans. But I don't see how it's anything like what Lazlow would have to offer and I'm sure that there could be room for both once O&A get things going. Lets not waste time arguing over who deserves what. No contracts have been signed yet.

And if you haven't heard of Bill Burr, you really need to see his HBO special. I don't really agree with the folks who are saying he should be thrown onto someone else's show just 'cause he's funny, though. Is he even looking for a job like that? Just let him be O&A's third man sometimes. He fits.

But we do know that their contract includes being in charge of XM 202, as they have been for the last year. You think everybody's lying about being able to bring other shows to the channel? They were dropping major hints on Friday that Lazlow would be doing weekends on 202. I'm very glad to hear this. I've heard the show on KROK and it's quality all the way. Maybe even better than Ron and Fez. Weekend timeslot's not all that convenient, but I'll make it a point to listen.

Didn't Opie just say they were going to have to wait awhile before they gave out any more Golden Tickets? I don't know why, but I got the impression he meant they were putting the brakes on it for awhile. It was a really brief mention when they talked about it. Last couple weeks I think.

He did say that. The reason being: they thought awful ch.152 "Extreme talk" was going to dismantled and they would have some say over what went on there. For whatever reason, I guess XM decided to keep that shit channel like it is. They're not going to add any more programs on 202. It would make no sense.

You make some good points, Paul Personable. I have to admit that there wouldn't be too much space for more daily programs on 202 if they still want to have replays. Personally I'd like it if they could throw in an earlier Ron and Fez replay every day instead of playing O&A twice in a row. But that probably wouldn't leave much time for other shows on a daily basis. I really think that getting some control over another channel would be the best thing. But who knows what's going to happen on that front.

Lazlow has been doing a weekend show anyway, and I don't know if a guy like him would have time for doing a full show every day of the week. They should let him do a weekly show if they bring him aboard. Maybe friday nights, with a replay or two on the weekend. It would mean more variety on the station without really messing with the schedule. And I think Lazlow's production skills would be a real asset to 202.
