Fire House USA: Boston

Well if theres a good drama then there will be a reality show based on it and vice versa. Heres Rescue Me's reality equivalent Firehouse USA, a new reality series documenting the Boston Fire department. Its aired on the Discovery channel Tuesdays at 8. Its pretty good for the first episode. Any one else catch this?

I TiVo'd it and havent watched all of it yet. I saw a preview of the show back in June and it looked really good. I've seen a lot of Firefighter shows come and go and hopefully this one will stay. I have heard on a firefighter board that I belong to that they just finished up riding along with Boston, and next season they are looking into doing Chicago.

The only thing that dissapointed me a lil was the disclaimer in the begining about some scenes being reinacted. I noticed a lot of stuff that didn't look right and it sorta killed it for me.

About 3 years ago there was a show called The Bravest, and that show kicked ass. They would go from city to city and ride along and catch jobs with them. They had a coat camera that the officer of the company would wear with his bunker gear and you got to go inside with the crews. The only problem with that show was it was never mainstream. In the NY area it was on Sunday nights at 1am.

This show looks promising and maybe the non-firefighter demographic will hook on this show now that Rescue Me is done with.

You know I didn't catch that disclaimer, but I thought some things looked odd like some guys not wearing bunker pants and that sort of thing (well some probably dont do that anyway) but you catch my drift.

I remember the Bravest. That was basically Cops, but with fire fighters. Too bad that didn't catch on.

I caught the episode and thought is was really swell. I am a FF in St Pete FLA. I was born and raised in MA though. Glad you brought Rescue Me up- - FX has some bad ass shows goin (the Shield is the best f ' in' show).

They came out with the Bravest on DVD but unfortunately its short. That was a great show and may be worth the $9.99 if you want to see great action.

Just on another note.. I watched the Brotherhood this past weekend and that was pretty good too. For anyone that has never heard of it, the documentry follows Squad 252, Rescue 1 and Rescue 4 through post 9-11 NYC. Great show, my favorite part is when they have to go to fire in a different part of the city and get lost so they follow the smoke

Anyone catch it last nite... another quality episode.. its funny to see how a truckie forgets how to be an engine man after time... i guess if you never do it, you lose it.

I forgot to catch it yesterday. I was a little tired from actually trying to become one, but they'll probably rerun it during the week. :)
