Tired of nothing ever happening in this state of ours?

Sick of all the press going to NYC and Bahston?

Well, let's change all that.

October 11, 2005 for the Weezer/Foo Fighter's concert at the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, CT, come stop by to get your very own, authentic, WOW sticker, or at least to stop by and say hi and show some support for the show.

This will be a great oppertunity to meet fellow wackbaggers as well as fans of the show in general. I plan on being there from at least 5 until the concert starts (obligations at work prevent me from being there earlier, if anyone else can be there earlier, let me know)

Who's getting stickers from XM?

I got an e-mail from Ben and Steve telling me that the stickers are on their way, hopefully they will throw in some form of banner to make congregating a bit easier.

Tix are $42.50 plus that damn 'convienence' charge of $7.55, but it's a very small venue, so it should be a great show.

Please let me know if you are going or if you can help out in some way, I can't really think of what type of help I'll need outside of telling people where to show up, but hey, what the hell.

Sweet, you can keep the party going once the concert starts. I just got the stickers in today. I got more stickers today, and judging from the amount I got, the Show must have spent their whole marketing budget on them, there are listeners in CT, so let's work on spreading the word. If anyone has an O&A banner or can make one, that might not be the worst idea in the world.

Never mind about the banner, I got second and third boxes today with a banner and more stickers then I have ever seen before. Considering we are gonna have this in a parking lot, I will try to bring some beers for those who want to hang out (sodas for those under 21, riiiight). It should be a great time, so please come on by and support the show!

Yeah there are lots of places to put your car if you're not going in, it may require a bit of a walk, but parking anywhere on Main street, or the surrounding area isn't that bad of a thing. I haven't figured out whether I'm gonna be right in front of the venue or in the parking lot. I was thinking near the stairs near the box office, least that way I will have some way to hang up the banner. I think that's what I'ma gonna do

I actually just gave the venue a call, the person who deals with this sort of thing is gone for the day, but if you do call monday (I'll try too) the person to speak to is Jay, the number is (for fear of phishing) three four five - twenty three hundred (it was right on the website. Def gonna try to get through both the day before and the day of also.

I just got off the phone with the venue and they told me that they could not allow anyone other then the promotors to hand stuff out on the grounds of the venue, now, as far as I'm concerned, public streets are not on the grounds of the venue. I think that we will just alter our position ever so slightly to be right out front of the venue, but not actually on the property of the venue. That shouldn't be a problem. Worse comes to worse, we do it until the cops tell us to leave.

sticker stop was a big success, we passed out an assload of stickers.

Big thanks to Lawjockey for putting this together, and all the help from Joey Bonds, his buddy, and Drew for all the help. I think the sticker stop was a hit.

Yeah guys the sticker stop was great too bad it was a little rainy and the forcing the sticker on the people method was the best lets do it again sometime soon at another event or something were going to need more stickers though I think I have like 75 or a 100 left if that

Hey everyone!!

Just wanted to say a big Thank You to everyone that stopped by and helped with the stop, unoriginal, Joey Bonds, (and as unoriginal said, his buddy, sorry but I forgot names) and Drew.

I think it was a great sucess just by the sheer number of people that said to us, in some form or another "Holy shit, when are they coming back?!". I hope to have another sticker stop sometime soon, maybe downtown New Haven, Norwalk, or Hartford, I only have a few (maybe 100 or so) stickers left, so we will need more.

they are full of shit. I tried to call twice to promote the Sticker stop, asking the call screener to PLEASE PLUG our sticker stop, they said okay please hold. I Instant Feedbacked at least 5 times asking nicely for a sticker stop plug, and then Opie has to trash CT, fuck that.

But then again, AOY1995 had a told me something in the listener thread that made me curious.

When Dougout Doug (and I) did the sticker stop from VA Beach last fall, we both called the show multiple times, got on hold, and never got on the show, to plug the stop.

Sometimes it makes you think..
