I just happen to be listening to Opie vs. Carol Miller battle in the studios. Great classic stuff. Now the show just seems to be kinda boring........

Geez...I kinda miss pre-syndication.

Evolve.

O&A are much better than they were during pre-syndication. You are just hearing the very best of those years and let me assure you that O&A had some pretty bad shows that you will never hear because they don't want you to hear those shows.

Your entitled to your opinion. I think the show is as good as it's ever been. It was easy to love pre-syndication, they had nothing to lose. Though, I don't think they lost their spontaneity. They still shoot from the hip (hubbla, hubbla) they take trips down the wacky zone which is always fun. I don't know if you heard the interviews with Linda Blair and Ruth buzzy, but they were just as classic as any "Pre-syndication" bit. I think people look into that shit too much, just enjoy the show. I am a good critic, and I never find it boring. That's my opinion, for the umpteenth time!

Do not be confused; I do realize that Syndication did THEM more good then harm, but for us--the listner--Syndication hurt us more. They can't even play whats in your pants for gods sake.

I don't think it is syndication that hurt them, but annoying extremely delusional righteous people who interfere with things because they think they speak for everyone.

That only affects O&A.....not us!!!

I see javert's point, and i agree with evryone on different levels...i agree with javert cuz when they were only in NY they had NOTHING to lose and they did radio like they didn't care if they got suspended or fired again.....i also agree with everyone else cuz now that they are all over the country they have EVERYTHING to lose! I feel they are being more cautious on some subjects but they really seem the same on alot of others.... and all these new cities that they're in have parents groups and antismut groups breathing down their necks
I thought they said they CAN'T do WIMP anymore cuz of an underage problem.....
