Im going on a Jeopardy try out

Does anyone have any advice, I'm going to NYC for a Jeopardy audition. has anyone ever done anything like that and if so how do I prepare.

By the way if I make it on the show be sure I will use some O and A catchphrases.

get an encylopedia and start reading....now. i tried out for the weakest link (remember that show?) last year. i didnt get on, but this guy who had his eyes glued to book of history got by. i forgot his name.

people seem to make a carrer of this.

Yes, I can give you a few tips. My sister in law was on a long time ago, she won about 35K you need to get used to a clicker. Besides knowing the answer you have to ring in first! Practice with your friends or family you have to ring in first before you answer.
She tried last year to get back on but lost out to people who rang in faster. Hope this helps. And also try to come up with something interesting about yourself. To catch the
Eye of the judges my sis in law said she is a witch, the first time. Good luck and try to relax. But practice with others you will be tested in groups so getting the ring in helps

My High School History teacher went to a Jeopardy tryout & he told us about it, I think Sophomore year. He said he made it to the finals, where they gave a written answer sheet & he couldn't remember the last answer he needed & he got mad, threw his paper down & stormed out. He said there's nothing you really can do to prepare. Just try your best & hopefully, you have what it takes. And Good Luck! :D
