Was there something recently about Daylight savings being cancelled this year? I thought I heard it somewhere, but can't remember.

Its because the Asian Tsunami made the earth wobble off its axis slightly, so the usual timing of the days was changed slightly.

I remember seeing something online a while back about extending DST, I forget the exact article, might have been on Yahoo news. I think they were talking about extending it from March to November, but I'm not sure.

The farmers are up in arms over the change. They need that extra hour of light to get the most from there crops. Less light equals smaller plants.:action-sm

New Federal Law—Springing Forward in March, Back in November
But just months after Indiana got in step with the rest of the country, the federal government announced a major change in Daylight Saving Time. In Aug. 2005, Congress passed an energy bill that included extending Daylight Saving Time by about a month. Beginning in 2007, DST will start the second Sunday of March and end on the first Sunday of November.
