I have been into it for years owning seveal different cars. I just got more into Nitro cars now and here's a couple pics of my newest car (which is also my project this winter to get ready for next season). I usually go bash around Queens, but I was wondering if there are other out there who also enjoy the hobby

it does look complicated, but once you start working on these things it is actually easy (though time consuming)

nitro I find easier to handle, but for new people it's best to have someone knowlegable in the cars around to help

i realy like my toys, how much they cost is relitive. i dont go to sporting events, i dont travel, and i were a pair of shoes till the soul falls off, but i dont mind dropping 500$ on an R/C model or a fancy gun or some such other useless thing

Anybody fly r/c planes? I have one currently. It's only a Firebird XL, which is just a battery-powered one, but it is wicked fun, and it is a good trainer for my eventual purchase of a gas-powered one. I can get about 1/2 hour of airtime out of it, and I love it.

i used to have a few RC cars when i was younger, got them from family members for Christmas in that time when you're getting too old for little kid toys and not old enough to just ask for cash so you can buy your own stuff (since my relatives my old and thus, technologically inept), use it to buy porn, and/or spend it all on a night out on the town.

I have a few nitro rc cars and trucks, also a trainer plane and a small electric helicopter.I havent really been into the cars for the past 2 summers,I'm going to get back into it though.I'm guessing my car was going about 90 mph but that was after I dumped a few thousand into it.I would say out of the box they go around 40+.If you are in the NYC area a great hobby shop to check out is in the Bronx it is called Bruckner's Hobby, back when I was into it I would travel about an hour from Connecticut to go to this hobby store. They always seemed to know what I needed and have the parts I needed and the staff was very knowlegeable and the prices were very reasonable.
