Isn't this just politcal bullshitting? It's not gonna pass and anyone that supports it is a terrorist-loving bastard for the next election.

They Dems are a bunch of loud mouth pussies. They cater to the far left but they know if they voted yes to this they would be finished. Fucking Pussies love to bash the war on TV but when they have to make a statement for the record, they choke. Except for Kerry. He probably voted for it before he voted against it. That Nacy Pelosi cunt said this is the lowest form of politics, hehe but then had to vote against it. CUNT!

It's not a lower form of politics, it's just politics.

Of course it was, because besides these 3 people:

Jose Serrano of New York
Robert Wexler of Florida
Cynthia McKinney of Georgia

The other dems have no balls

The GOP forced them to play their hand and now they look like fucking assholes

Smart play I must say

You know, I've pretty leftish on most policies both social and economic. I was against the Iraq invasion when it happened and right now I still 100% believe it was a bad idea.

But I honestly can't understand what the Democrats are thinking other than "Hey, maybe I can get re-elected" with this constant bitching about withdrawing.

I fully understand the game of politics, and that's what is the only concern for most of them, but it's sad. (Note: This is not in anyway an endorsement of House Republicans. They are as if not more fucked up then House Democrats)

The bottom line is we CAN'T leave. As bad as things are, the alternative would be much worse. I blame Bush for putting us in this situation and Democrats should. But a withdraw will accomplish nothing at this point.

We should have never gone in and I am all for beating on Bush over that point. The reconstruction effort has been a total abortion and I'm all for beating him with that one too.

But to leave Iraq now would accomplish the following:

a) Kill thousands upon thousands more Iraqis from Civil War
b) Destroy any credibility the United States has as a world leader
c) Allow Al-Zarqawi, Bin Laden and any other of these Salafist Islam groups to claim it as "their greatest victory and a pivotal turning point in the war against the West" rallying how many more to their cause
d) Potentially make Iraq a breeding ground for future terrorism, human rights abuses, etc.

A withdraw is VERY short-sighted in terms of the consequences. Don't get me wrong, most of this is Bush's fault. He did a lot in creating the situation we're in today. But the House Democrats solution to the situation is retarded.

dude i see your point and i agree with most of what you say,but i just gotta say that EVERYBODIES hands are dirty with the iraq situation.i mean the ball has been dropped repeatedly by both parties on everything leading up to 9-11, everything after 9-11, and everything leading up to,and all after we went into iraq.we can both pick apart the others party(im republican)until our fuckin fingers fall off from typing, but i think that when it comes down to it,the people we elected on both sides DIDNOT do their jobs as elected officials as they should.and they know cause all the fuckin pre-school finger pointing they do at each other over everything is what kids do when they are caught doing wrong.its the old "well if you think im wrong, look at him" mentality that makes me despise politicians more everytime i see them. us as just regular people just trying to get through life are the ones they prey on.one side scares us,one side says no everything is perfect.how can we possibly know the truth behind half of what they say?we cant and they know it and thats how they get to our fears on both sides. sorry for babbling on here, but it just gets irritating with these robot politicians after while:icon_mrgr
