Someone in another forum mentioned an awesome Stephen King short story where some guy stranded on an island was forced to eat himself to survive. I was wondering if anyone else knows of any other good short stories, preferably available on the net. Doesn't have to be horror.

Here is one that isnt horror in the traditional sense, but definately makes you cringe and sweat from reading it. Written by chuck palahniuk (the guy who did fight club), its probably the only thing I have ever almost stopped reading because of the mental images it put in my head. Enjoy.

Scroll down the page a bit to get to the story.

The Steven King story you want is called "Survivor Type," and is in the Skeleton Crew collection of his short stories.

I recommend:
The Call of Cthulhu
Dagon
Herbert West: Reanimator
Nyarlathotep
The Other Gods
The Shadow Over Innsmouth

And a really good one to start with that is short, and gives a good taste of Lovecraft is called Pickman's Model.
