PUEBLO, Colo. -- A Pueblo man was scheduled to appear in court next week to face charges of incest, but police said he's also involved in one of the largest child pornography cases in the city's history.
Richard William "Bill" Wurster, 54, was accused of having sex with a male relative for years, and a female relative at least once.
An informant said Wurster also admitted having sex with several 12-year-old girls.
Police said they found several thousand computer images showing children engaged in sexual activity, and one of the photos reportedly showed Wurster in a sexual act with an infant girl, believed to be the granddaughter of one of his friends.
Investigators also found an inflatable sheep dressed in fishnet stockings on Wurster's bed, according to his arrest affidavit.
An informant also told police that Wurster had hidden a video camera in the bathroom of his home and recorded guests without their knowledge when they were using the toilet and changing clothes.
Pueblo police Sgt. Troy Davenport said that Wurster may have been producing and collecting child pornography for at least 10 years.
"In terms of volume, it ranks up there with some of the highest numbers of images we've ever seen," said Davenport.
Wurster was being held on $750,000 bond.
