The photographer says many biblical scriptures are "bursting with eroticism." I'm not 100%, but I do remember somewhere in the bible there being a quote something to the extent of mess with the words and meaning and you're effed. I thought it says somewhere something like it's better to put your seed in the belly of a whore than to cast it on the ground, meaning you should only use your jizz for putting in women. Exactly. The idea that sex is a sin in the bible is ridiculous. In fact the Talmud (Jewish Law) states that a man is REQUIRED to have sex with his wife at least an average of once a week, or she can divorce him, no questions asked.

And before anyone mentions Sodom and Gommorah, that is a story that the Christian Church spun to death. Sodom and Gomorrah were not destroyed because they were sex crazed homos. They were destroyed for committing what is considered to be one of the deadliest sins: inhospitality to an innocent visitor. The two cities, even before the episode with Lot and the angels, were known to rob visitors blind, **** them, and leave them starving on the streets, begging for money. Homosexuality or sex was never even mentioned by ancient rabbinical scholars as the reason for their destruction.

You are focusing on the wrong thing. Like I said, they were inhospitable....****** a visitor to your city is pretty damn inhospitable. Its not the sexual aspect of it that is significant. I've never even seen a bible with pictures in it, let alone nudity.

The ones with pictures are typically the big versions that are put on display or sat on a coffee table, something like that, not the hand held ones that you read everyday...though there are exceptions.

There are what's called illuminated bibles....they are really old and were drawn and painted by hand from the Dark Ages to to Renaissance. They are in museums now. The Gutenberg bible that Onuris mentioned was printed about 500 years ago.

Haven't seen too many modern bibles with pictures though.
