Is it really a replacement? How can you possibly replace lil Jimmy? If there was a person who could be 10% of Jimmy, they'd be a regular on the show. Jimmy brings more than just comedy to the show. Do you think we'd hear Patrice or Bill on the show if it wasn't for Jimmy? I refuse to vote on this poll as it is an invalid point. Now if it said best "Fill-In" and my only choices are Bill & Patrice i'd have to say they are equal. They both bring totally different bits and stories to the show, equally great. Just my opinion... BTW, i'd like to hear Bob Kelly on the show a little more. Vos is better when he has Jimmy in the studio to shove him in front of the bus. I don't really like the Rich & Bonnie show. I would like Florentine & Levy to show up at some point but since they've got their noses burried up HooHoo's ass, I don't think we'll see them anytime soon if ever. I prefer whichever of the two hasn't been in for a couple weeks strait. Unlike anyone else who has sat in for Norton, Bill Burr and Patrice really fit into the flow of the show.

That being said, Patrice and Burr don't fit in nearly as well as Norton, that takes allot more time, and as much as I love those two sitting in, I hope they don't get the chance to be permenant 3rd mic.

I think Burr brings more to the show, and patrice brings more funny.

The shows with Patrice seem allot more chaotic, and its sometimes hard to fallow, but there are is some funny ass shit to laugh at.

Burr doesn't seem to bring the same kind of constant level of humor, but he kills with some of his lines ("which one of those keys is the one to your dreams?!"), and everything seems to run smoothly, making for an overall more pleasant listening experience.

This poll sucks ass. Can we get a poll where we vote on whether apples or oranges are better?

Jay is good to have in studio, but he works ALLOT better as 4th mic than 3rd (although if I absolutely had to choose someone after norton patrice and burr, he would be the one)

Also, like I've said befor, I'd love to hear Saget on 3rd mic, but I guess we will have to wait and see if a relationship between him and the show ever really developes.

Patrice is hillarious on the show but in small doses. Almost everything out of his mouth has to do with race and after awhile that can get a bit tired. Same with Norton, the same AID's/Cancer/Shit jokes over and over. Bill Burr is funny but he doesn't have this shtick that has him regurgitating the same kind of jokes over and over. Don't get me wrong all of them have had me belly laughing while doing the show but if I had my way Bill Burr would be 3rd mic all the time.

I used to like Vos alot but lately the whole Vos is stupid thing has taken over when he's on (not even going to mention the bonnie aspect because there is aanother thread for that). They used to make fun of Rich but it wasn't all the time like it is now. He's on the defensive all the time and I think it's O&A's fault. They turned him into .... in a way. Something to have on the air no to laugh with but to laugh at. Except Vos actually has talent and deserves better. When they fucked with Vos while he was on that show in Florida the other day you could tell Vos was pissed and I thought he had every right to be. Opie was giving Vos shit for something that had nothing to do with Vos. He's a comedian and has to do radio all over the country so ofcourse when he's on a new show he's going to break out stories O&A fans have heard a million times. O&A have always said they don't give a shit what shows the regulars go on but you could tell Opie was pissed at Rich. I could be talking out of my ass but I've thought there has been some tension lately and it seems to be growing and it seems like O&A are the one's being dicks.

I didn't think Patrice's HBO special was that good. I've seen him live and I can tell it's edited to shit because the timing's all off and hurried. Patrice has a slow paced delivery and the HBO thing seems condensed. It was ok, but he's much better when I've seen him live.

Also, being a better stand up isn't really the issue. Patrice is definately one of the best stand ups in the biz, and holds his own right there with Jimmy, and Dave Attel, and all the other greats on the scene, and Bill is merely "very good" but not great. But I still think Bill's funnier on the radio.

The way Patrice and Anthony vibe off each other is almost too much. They really enjoy each other's sense of humor. I think Bill Burr is a better fit wit Opie, but that could just be the whole WASP thing.

I said it in the last poll aswell. Patrice is the best 3rd mic of all. Better than Jimmy even!! Blows away Bill aswell. Not to take anything awyay from Jimmy and Bill, but the Best shows since they have been on XM IMO have all had Patrice on them and No Jimmy.

Jimmy is great and so is Bill, but not the same caliber as Patrice. Especially latley Jimmy is just not the same anymore. Jay Moore said it the other day "You've changed man" he said. I agree. Jimmy is slowly becomming what he used to dispise the most.

I agree with him being too loud sometimes funny as hell but back the fuck up when all your gonna do is laugh at your own jokes. I have to turn it down until they settle down some then I can listen again then they seem to get wound up again and I find my self doing other things and forgetting to get back to listening. Shame never had that problem with Burr or Jimmy.

The thing I have noticed about Patrice (and am liking) is he is not afraid to ask questions. He got the boys to talk ALOT about the AOTM thing, and the aftermath. Jimmy or Bill probably would have just glossed over things, and kept the show going. There were a couple times Patrice brought the show to a grinding halt by getting O&A to talk about what was happening, and let us look in on the 8th or 12th wall (whatever # we are up to this week) Todays show with Disturbed was the same way. He came out and said he knew nothing of thier music, but still asked informative and intellegent questions. I guess long story short, Patrice asks alot of the same questions I think many of us would ask, if we had the chance.

i dont mind when Patrice talks about racial stuff because it seems to come from an honest place. He never seems confrontational or that black culture is better than white culture or anything, he just sorta notes and explains the differences.

Patrice is great but not because he is that goddam funny. The value of Patrice is the intensity level he brings seems to inspire Anthony. Ant comes up with his most brilliant riffs when Patrice is in studio. Patrice just needs to curb his tendency to interrupt Ant in mid-sentence when Ant is bringing the funny.

Exactly how I felt. I was looking forward to the disturbed interview and there was Patrice chiming in about how he didn't know who they were. Who cares, just go with it. I mean I appreciate the honesty though I think in some cases he should take a page from Jimmy when he doesn't know the guest and just let the interview happen.

I like Patrice and he's been great on the show, though overall I think I prefer Bill Burr a little more ultimately.

Patrice seems like he would have a brilliant career as a writer. He is not a quick as Bill or the boys, so writing seems to fit him better. On the mic, he annoys me with the phony laughing he uses to stall for time to think up a funny line, and if he ever finished a sentence without restarting it three times, I would be fucking amazed.

Bill Burr is an all around guy, the only problem I see is him and Anthony eventually getting into some nastiness. Bill gets under Anthony’s skin way too easy. :D

I really did miss Burr when Patrice was first in but have to say that the past two weeks have been excellent radio. He does annoy me a bit when he interrupts but Burr annoys me a lot when he doesn't contribute a thing for long stretches of time. If there was a choice between the two I would choose Patrice. Jimmy is the Man though.

Up until last week, I would have said Bill Burr hands down. However, after last week, I have to say Patrice is in the lead. He is not just a third mic comedian but a true asset to moving the show in different directions. He actually will ask O&A questions that initiate some new material. Perhaps you're right. I have enjoyed Patrice a lot more recently. But you're not going to get old school Anthony when he is there. For example, borrowing from WNEW days, the Stallone glass cocktail table bit.... with Patrice around he never has the mic long enough to evolve something like that.

I am going with Patrice. When Burr first started he was good because he was new...then he ran out of things to say and do and his true side showed.....a "safe" comic. Patrice is not afraid to call a cunt a cunt and I love when he does the racial humor. I laugh more when HE laughs at himself or at Anthony. I did not like Patrice at first, but he got the hang of things.
