If you're willing to pay $30 for the Roady XT, you can put it immediately on your family plan at $7 a month.

It should have been in that email that XM sent out.

yeah its a great fucking deal ordered mine last week had my card charged last week and they havent shipped it to me or wont tell me when its gonna ship. GREAT FUCKING DEAL.

I bought the Roady XT last week and I have yet to receive an update on the order...

iv called 3 times and emailed 2 times and i get well it hasnt shipped yet it might ship tommorrow. so friday actually i told them to cancel the order and they said that they couldnt do that after the order has been processed. so im out a 150 bucks and my xmas present. probably be jan before i get my money back and thats if i file a fraud claim with my bank.

I love my XM and O and A are great but their customer service are the biggest collections of fucking idiots I have ever delt. I would rather deal with the ibble dobble dot heads then those assholes. Everytime I call them with an issue they usually have no clue as to what the fuck I'm asking. I know I am speaking clear and consice english so whats the fucking problem.

uhm that is an understatement i called last thursday was told maybee friday it would ship called friday said it might ship monday called tuesday said it might ship wednsday called wednsday said it might ship thursday. showed up at my house on fucking wednsday night. they had no fing clue that it even shipped.

I mean XM is obviously the better company on a lot of fronts but man that one thing customer service makes all the difference. I activated XM in July and I bought it for my gf in Sept. I had to start a whole different account for that one because for whatever dumb reason they couldn't add that radio on to my account under the family plan. So they said that to call back a day or two before the billing cycle to change this and all extra monies would be applied to the account in whole. It's now December I just got them to add the radios to one account. The worst part is that those dumb fucks are now billing me for two radios at the normal rate even though I said FAMILY PLAN!!! stupid asses. I feel better now.

Anyway. For those of you that use this "special offer" make sure you tell the xm activation line that you already paid for service and activation when you call to activate the radio (they are supposed to ship activated, but I got four and none of them have been active when they arrived). You will have to call xm customer service.

Have fun with that.

The one I got was through the O&A promo in Dec. My radio shipped activated, all I had to do was leave it on for a while. My roommate ordered a myfi the night I got mine hooked up, and his was also activated.

The checkout process makes you pay 38 bucks for the three months of service, and after that you have to have the service for 3 (i think) more months, but at that time you could put the receiver on your existing account.

So, Ill get one today, pay the money for 3 months of service, then put it on my plan as an extra receiver for 7/month.

You may have to go to refresh.xmradio.com instead of calling up customer service...
