They're the same though.. it's the same XM2GO hardware.. just a different shell.

Just noticed your username. Fan-fucking-tastic.

I've got a MyFi and 2 SkyFi2's and I've had no problems with any of Delphi's stuff. My only complaint about the MyFi is the antenna connector on the car cradle always comes loose, and the power connetor on the home cradle comes loose as well, and both get bad connections. Do the Tao or Pioneer XM2GO's have this problem as well??

I want the airwave, it doesn't need that lipstick thing when used like a walkman

I just recently got my Tao.(I prefer the black to the silver:icon_wink )
I mainly got it to record, so I haven't even taken it outside.
But so far I'm very pleased with it.

For some reason, I like the look of that Tao.. I have a feeling my folks got me the MyFi for X-mas though. Oh well!

Bought a MyFi, but only because it was cheaper due to being around longer. I'll probably by another portable brand when the 2nd generation of XM2Gos arrive.

The price being cheaper made my choice very easy....From roughly $300.00 to $99.00...a no brainer. I have the original Roady not the Roady 2 which I got at the O&A press conference to announce there signing with XM at the Hard Rock back in 2004.

I only have good things to say about the myfi. I originally had a skyfi and can't imagine going back to something that isn't portable and can't record.

I have a Tao on the way. Took it over the MyFi just because I like the way the black looks better. The hardware is all identical in all three portables.

I just ordered a TAO from myradiostore. They are offering a mail in offer for a second home or car kit and the $50 rebate. 119.99 (after rebate) with free shipping. Not too shabby

Tao or pioneer are just a great...it really comes down to the design with the THREE 2Go models. Thsy are all a little piece of heaven.

Yep, I was actually about to order the MyFi but the tao was $10 cheaper and was giving the extra home adapter. I figure with 2 home adapters for it I'll take my old delphi boombox and send it to my mother. I know she would love having satellite radio but would never actually buy it for herself and would bitch if I spent the money on a new one for her, so this way she'll embrace it because it's a product of her son doing sensible shopping!~LOL

I recently ordered a MyFi and should get it this week.

but cNet.com is great for reviews with videos

All three score a 8.4 out of 10.

Again I bought mine using the link www.XMRadio.com/partners and type in RONANDFEZ as the password.

You'll have to agree to 6 months of service and pay upfront for the first 3 but you can buy either of the three for just $99. with free shipping.

This is a GREAT deal considering the fact that places like Best Buy are charging $150 but that's after a $50 rebate.

Hope this help Baggers'

RS&T

Hope this helps.

I've got the Pioneer, and it's great. Never had a problem with it, other than the fact that it is going for $50 cheaper than when I got it.

I have had a MyFi for a year now and when I upgrade it will be with whatever Pioneer has out on the market at the time. Pioneer has always had nice products for very competitve prices.

I'm getting the airware for Christmas. I beleieve they are all pretty much the same, I ljust iked the way it looked better. We bought the tao for my dad for Christmas, and my brother has the myfi, so we'll be able to compare and contrast them on Christmas morning... I'm sure that doesn't help you now though.

Would wait for 01/06/06

CES should shed a shit load of light on the MP3/XM players and maybe the successor to the Myfi

Maybe a live portable XM/MP3 player. Would be tight. Better internal antenna's. Anything is possible.

Out of the list, i would take a new Myfi.

Delphi going belly up? WTF? How can that be? They make 99% of the hardware for XM?

There has only been one generation of the MyFi? I've had mine for a year now and have not had a single problem. Sorry to hear yours crappy, what problems have you experienced?

Delphi Reports Third Quarter Financial Results
Release Date: November 9, 2005
TROY, Mich. -- Delphi Corp. today reported third quarter financial results for the period ended Sept. 30, 2005.

Revenue of $6.28 billion, down from $6.64 billion in Q3 2004.
Non-GM revenue for the quarter was $3.33 billion, up 6 percent from $3.15 billion in Q3 2004 (up 5 percent, excluding the effects of foreign exchange rates), representing 53 percent of Q3 revenues. Non-GM growth was more than offset by a 16 percent year-over-year decline in GM revenues.
GAAP net loss of $788 million or a loss of $1.40 per share, compared to Q3 2004 net loss of $119 million or a loss of $0.21 per share. Included in the Q3 2005 net loss was $136 million of accrued contract costs of idled employees who were previously expected to either return to active service or depart through retirement or flowback to GM. In addition, the results include $85 million of costs related to idled employees incurred in the third quarter.
GAAP cash used in operations was $833 million, compared to GAAP cash provided by operations of $238 million in Q3 2004. Cash used in operations was negatively impacted by shorter supplier payment terms, principally in the U.S. "The sizeable loss in this quarter only underscores the urgent need to address our U.S. labor cost issues," said Robert S. "Steve" Miller, Delphis chairman and CEO. "Delphi can not continue indefinitely to operate our facilities in the U.S., which lose a substantial amount of money, without being able to adjust our cost structure. The continued pressures Delphi faces from low GMNA production volumes, commodity price increases, pension and post retirement health care cost increases, along with the cost of paying for idled workers, will only intensify our U.S. losses until we come up with a competitive, sustainable plan of reorganization for our U.S. operations through the Chapter 11 process."
Additional information concerning Delphi's Q3 2005 results is available in Delphi's third quarter Form 10-Q, scheduled to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission later today. More information on Delphi's U.S. Chapter 11 business reorganization filing is available at www.delphidocket.com.

MyFi's internal antenna is better than the tao. If im not mistaken the tao dosent come with the external antenna as the myfi does. That little antenna is sweet in some cases. That other than the color is from what i hear the only difference.

I was going to suggest holding off on buying anything new until the Samsung Nexus comes out XM enabled mp3 player with 35 and 50 hour models. But looking at the ad now it looks like you have to have it docked in the homekit to recieve XM just like Sirius's crap portable. A shame cause it looks nice.

http://www.xm411.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=349691

I'll stick to the MyFI for now. It'd be nice if I could listen to mp3's on it as well. Hopefully, with the MyFi2 you will.

You must have missed my post above.
Look closely at the Samsung Nexus specs. The way I'm reading them now, you have to have it docked in a homekit cradle (like the Sirrius "portable") to recieve XM live. Am I wrong?

Review I found - Nexus BLOWS! (http://us.gizmodo.com/gadgets/nexus/xm-nexus-revealed-123524.php)
From the article:

XM neXus Revealed
READ MORE: Samsung, Satellite Radio, Sirius, neXus
First word of an alliance between Samsung and XM crossed our desktop in July. And after a brief gestation the neXus is born. This is Samsung’s first MP3 player with XM Satellite Radio readiness. It comes in 512MB and 1GB capacities and includes a home docking kit for listening live while at home. That’s right: Just as with the Sirius S50, the neXus does not offer true XM portability—just the ability to capture and store the sat-casts. Available sometime in the fall.

So happy that on the day that Hoo Hoo went to the little doggie company that I finally purchased XM.

IT's true...it looks really nice but I like having the option to hear true live XM and now with the new clip antenna, all is good.
