Anyone else like me and actually have to work while I am listening to OnA, and cannot watch Paltalk?

I am very Jealous of you fuckers. Theres gotta be a way to make this system more advanced and not only a live experience.

Even if XM did all that paltalk did it would cost so much that we will have to pay somehow. Paltalk already has the resources in place to take advantage of and we just have to join. For XM to start from scratch would be expensive. There would need to be servers and routers in place to handle the feeds and the associated personnel (expensive personnel at that). Each time somebody logs on and starts up a cam takes up some bandwidth. Imagine a huge amount of people logging on and bringing up a cam and what do you have? A huge bandwidth that needs to be serviced. That gets very costly quickly.

I don't think anyone is bitching about the price.
I would be more than happy to pay it, I think the price is worth it.

First no one is making you pay for anything. Paltalk is not 3/4 of the show. Maybe 10 min, somedays more. This is something FANS started to do. Not O&A. What they did was set up a cam for the people who CHOOSE to get it. XM is not getting money from our subsat Paltalk neither is O&A. I'am a part of Paltalk. I'm not there for the live show. I signed up because its a place where the fans get together and I like to talk about the show and go on room raids. Honestly, you cheap fucks can't afford $40 for a YEAR? give me this Budget Shit. Yeah, I hope they eventualy just get a second generation "stinky cam" (which I'm sure XM will get to around 2008, after they remove the cubicles)..

I know they don't spend a ton of tme on it, but whenever they do something for the paltalk people, they're basicaly broadcasting for 200 people. It would be nice to be able to pop on the cam when they're doing something interesting, without having to join the whole paltalk "clique"

I don't want to see mediocre girls flashing, I don't want to go on room raids, I want the visual to go with my favorite radio show if I happen to be off work or have a spare moment. I understand it started as a fan thing, but now there is a studio cam (with more to come) and if you don't pay you miss out.

Alimony and Child Support eat anough of my check already.

If XM sets it up it would be a one-way deal only. Three studio cams that you can see. Listeners would not be able to show themselves on cam. It also would probably not have text communications among viewers or to the studio. In otherwords, just a standard studio webcam setup. I like the Paltalk. It is more interactive and reflects the whole attitude of the show.

Well, to be fair, you can't go there without paying.. and I'm not going to pay for something that seems to be more about the pests than the show itself.

I'm just going by how it's described on the show, and incidents like when you kicked the awful what's in my pants girl.. Not that I disagree with what you did.. but it's a sign of the pests having more control over the show than O&A..

I am still thinking about signing up. I do know of another morning radio show that offers a subscription to watch them live in the studio. I think it is 6 bucks a month or something. If O&A did something like that, I would do it.

I think I like Paltalk though, because once the show is done you can "hang out" with other people. Well that is if you can keep from being banned.

Unfortunally I trade off weather tht never gets below 50 degrees for half a live show and replays. I am interested in Doug's room because I find hime cut and adorible but I just haven't done it yet. DO you know what paltalk is? Its an internet chat platform, that allows you to txt chat, voice chat, and use their pay service to video chat. Its not $40 to watch opie and anthony. Also, I would like to know what instance you have of someone being banned from the show room because of a personal difference. Imafan, myself, and Papagolash are the only 3 moderators of that room. Please tell me who was banned?

First of all, no one should be calling another person "cheap" because they can't afford to/don't want to shell out $40 for webcam software. Different people have different obligations, and $40 a month can be the difference between food or no food.

That said, I had a "streaming" cam on a site I ran a while ago, it was crazy easy to set up, and it uploaded a new image to a cam.gif file every 2 seconds. It was free. Doing something like that is not going to require the amount of bandwith people are screaming about, especially not to the point where they would have to hire people to manage it. That's a ridiculous assumption. We're talking one file here people. I believe that's how ye olde Stinky Cam was set up as well.

I am PAYING out of my own pocket to put this up every day you asshole! XM IS working on getting their own server to stream video from the show but it's taking longer than we wanted to wait for live video. The Stinky cam from WNEW SUCKED YOUR MOTHERS ASS!!!! It crashed every 2 minutes and had a frame rate of 1 frame every 30 seconds ON A GOOD DAY!

Until XM sets up a streaming video server for the show this was the only way to do it. Not as a money making venture for us you cunt head but as a way to peek in on what we're doing everyday. Sorry I can't get a subscription for everybody but I ain't making Howie cash over here and as Judge Smails said:

THe only people I have seen banned from the O&A live room deserved it for being an ass. There are hundreds of rooms and this last week there was at least 2 O&A (or wackbag) rooms running at all times.

Don't confuse a room owned by someone else with the one owned by Wifflebatlube - that one is only open when the show is on the air - all the other rooms are run by fans and you could be bounced for those for any ole reason - if you don't like it - then just make your own room.

Or you can come visit me in the Howard Stern Fans room. It is rather quiet in there though ;)

Trust me when I say that I am not wanted in any of the pest Elite rooms and the regular Opie and Anthony rooms at all. I will be kicked immediately if I show up but you people are talking out of your ass when you say that you get banned from the live show feed. I have been welcomed in the show feed always and If I am then anyone else is for sure. I got bounced one time for something and I came right back in and the moderator who bounced me and I had a good laugh over it.

my paltalk experience is as follows:

scenario 1 - no women on cam. usually pretty fun. lots of sound clips and jokes, but innane conversation leads me to block half the people talking on mic.

scenario 2 - any woman on cam (i stress ANY woman) it's the whole room talking to her, trying to goad into something without seeming like a creep. lots of 'grooming' as the perverted justice website says. "oh you're so beautiful..._____ is so hot....she is such a sport." nothing fun going on usually. the girls are rock stars too, regardless of how fat or ugly they are, men will always defend them.

scenario 3 - when there is a show going on. i have yet to experience this. i hope it's better than my limited experience in the ralms of paltalk. also, at this time, i must qualify and say that i've never been in paltalk when doug or anyone who has a standout personality has been on so my experince and observations are severly limited.

Trust me, I know hard finances. I have spend months as an unpaying paltalk member. And would never bash anyone for having better priorities then to spend their money on paltalk, then their family.

Fast forward to 2006 - PALTALK IS FREE FOR STILL IMAGES OF THE STUDIO AND AUDIO DURING COMMERCIALS. You can refresh those still images 100X more than the stinky cam ever did.

If you have a subscription, you can see moving video. That's OPTIONAL!
