ok, so i got a sony KLV-S32A10 LCD HDTV and i had it set up perfectly until my 4 year old got a hold of the controller while i was taking a dump and she fucked with the settings and fucked up the display. it shows the display in full screen and it's zoomed cutting out parts of the picture.

i have scoured the manual and the internet on how to reset the fucker to factory defaults and have come up with no good answers.....................do any of you fuckers have any idea how to do a hard reset on my model TV? i have tried everything and all to no avail.

give the remote back to the four year old she will either fix it or fuck it up worse but what other choice do you have you don't seem to have a clue and kids can figure everything out there just smarter than us.

she's lucky i didn't snap her fucking fingers in half!

i don't get how a 4 year old can do that shit in a few minutes.

i have tried the 2 different options that the sony knowledge base has suggested and neither of them have worked........i'm more pissed off now than when it originally happened.

there should be a button labeled mode. just click it and it should either flip to another view mode or give you a menu for your view modes. This is where I have a real problem with Sony tvs. Their view modes are awful, especially their widescreen with full screen content. I hope that helps you out though.

According to the manual I looked at online, just click the wide button a few times.

ok......i think i just figured out the problem.

when you use an HDMI cable the "normal" view becomes unavailable only wide zoom, full, and zoom are available. so now i'm stuck using composite cables rather than my nice lil' HDMI cable. i guess mini-me(my daughter) started hitting buttons as she was watching nickelodeon and kept hitting them til the picture came back.

(warfarer, this info is on page 38 of the manual.......a few ketel one martinis and a but of frustration made me overlook the obvious)

OK, NOTHING TO SEE HERE......KEEP MOVING

i forgot to mention this:

somehow my kid got a hold of the remote for the TV and the cablevision remote and "figured out" how to mess with the display settings. i fixed them both because it turns out that with cablevision iO digital cable recievers if you click on the settings button and scroll down you will find the "picture size" option which gives you 3 settings to choose from: normal, zoom, and stretch. she set it to zoom. so now i have it set to normal and i can use my HDMI connection and all is well.......................i'm sure you were all very concerned.
