Would you waste a first- or second-round draftpick on Marcus Vick??? Looks like a little too much "baggage" comes with this guy. . . :icon_conf

Whatcha think, Wackbaggers?

He's done now and he has wasted alot of talenet and all of V-techs time. When they could have went out and found another QB.Bryan Randell caught alot shit when Vick came to tech and I don't think that he was treated very well by the fans or the coaches when the coat tall rider showed up.I bet if Frank Beamer had it to do over again he wouldn't have taken him.

Fuck no. Maybe him and Maurice Clarett can go rob people together. Stupid knitters!

Someone will take him. Probably no earlier then the third or fourth round though. Alot of NFL teams love the idea of a speedy quarterback, and I think Marcus is actually a better QB then Mike, not saying much, granted, but I think someone will take a shot at him. Clarett took a whole year off, then ran a 4.8 40 in the combine and still got picked.

He wont go high, he might not even go in the first day of the draft, but you really dont think anyone will take a chance on him late in the game?

Exactly, it's not like he was first or even second round material to begin with. This year's draft is really deep too, so that pushes his stock down even further. I think he'll get the same treatment Adrian McPherson got, he'll go during the second day of the draft, maybe late 4th/early 5th round. Then again, McPherson went in the 5th round even after having a year of proving himself in the arena league and staying out of trouble, plus by the time the draft came around he was able to say with confidence that he was a changed man, and that was backed by various NFL players and coaches that he knew, Marcus can't claim that at this point. If he's there in the 5th I would take him, or at least start making calls to step down and get some extra picks from a team that really wanted him.

I agree, he won't go very high in draft but someone will definitely take him. I'm thinking Oakland in the 4th round.

Former Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick, booted from the team last week for his behavior on and off the field, was charged Monday with pulling a gun on three teenagers during an altercation in a restaurant parking lot.

You know someone will pick the kid up.
Look at the shit Tampa took with Keyshawn and they
are now considering taking on T.O.

Maybee a 7th round pick, but why any sooner? There are plenty of other skilled QB's entering the combine this year and next year. So I wouldn't wanna risk a pick with "baggage".

Keyshawn and TO are two different animals

Keyshawn isnt worth as much baggage becuase hes not that good, whereas TO can get away with more

Vick will get picked - but he shouldnt

He'll get picked. However, I do believe he's one of the biggest assholes to ever put on a uniform. I was at the VA Tech, WVU game this year in West Virginia (go 'Eers). The fans were giving him a pretty hard time and when he made a long run and went out of bounds, he flew the bird at all the fans. He's got no class but all the talent in the world. It's a shame he's such an asshole.

Being a raider fan, dont think i would really mind that too much. Even with him getting arrested today, someone will still draft him, but i wouldnt expect him to go until round four or five.
On that arrest, i was not at all suprised when i heard about it today. When the shit started coming out about clarett, i was more like "no way!!". When i heard about vick, all i could do was laugh.

Now that he got busted pulling a gun on someone, or a "Sean Taylor" as I like to call it, I dont know if he'll get picked up at all. What a fucking delinquent, just lock the knitter up.

Dear God. After Brett retires due to the shambles of the Green Bay organization, please don't let a knitter QB take his place. Amen.

You're better off with Aaron Rodgers. Sitting behind Favre should really help him out alot. Maybe he can break the streak of shitty pro QBs from Cal.

Would You Draft Vick? Answer: Clearly, NO

Will Someone Draft Vick? Answer: Clearly, YES

Probably, no sooner than the fourth round. And whoever takes him is an idiot. He may have more potential than Vick but that does not mean that he will make it in the NFL. Unless he grows up quickly, which is highly unlikely, then I expect him to be a footnote in the league's history. You know the footnote, two brothers (no pun intended) in the NFL playing the same position. Blah, Blah, Blah.

I feel certain that my dear Panthers are not stupid enough to take him. Though we have had our share of murderous bastards. Yes, one is "our share."

So, assuming arguendo, that someone will take him. Which one of you guys believe that your favorite team will take him? Why?

Look at the funny monkeys. Don't judge me.

It'll be interesting to see if Lil Vick shows up at the Indy Combine, to showcase his skills. Clarett did, and fucked up his draft status by not preparing. If Lil Vick preps properly, he can salvage a decent buzz and higher draft slot. He needs to show he's serious, and ready to play some ball.
