Anyone have a suggestion for a good brand of canadian whiskey? Have tried pendleton and crown royal.

That Crown Royal is good stuff. Sorry, I don't have a lot of Canadian Whiskey experience. I'm usually into good, American wiskeys from Tennesee and Kentucky.

I sometimes used to drink Canadian Mist... not sure if its technically a whiskey, but it was cheap and smooth. Don't waste your time with Black Velvet.

Crown Royal is the greatest of all Canuck whiskey.
Black Velvet is all right...but just doesn't cut it for me...rather spend the money on a bottle of Markers Mark.
Seagram's 7 and VO are quite good, albeit kinda expensive.
Canadian Club is kinda weak and I don't like it much
Lord Calvert is cheap, and good if you mix it with Squirt / some other citrusy drink.
Personally.....go for the Lord Calvert is you want something to mix and get fscked up real nicely.
If your going for taste, Crown Royal is the way to go.
(Keep in mind I live in IA and we don't get EVERY single brand of Canadian Whiskey.)
That shait that is like 9 bucks and of some unknown name....void like the plague.

Another vote for Crown Royal. It's the best up here.

crown royal special reserve is the shit.
fancy men like myself enjoy this libation!
Crown Royal is nice. Though it's cheaper, I'm a big fan of the McNaughton's. R&R is also nice.
But by far the best, if you can get it, is Revelstoke. You will never have a tastier whiskey.

The two top ryes are Crown Royal and Gibsons. Everything else is usually just considered the house rye and not usually called by name.
As far as the ryes in the Gibsons line, I find Gibsons Sterling to be the smoothest. Gibsons Rare is a lot cooler to have on your shelf to impress, but Sterling is an tastier blend.

If you can find it, Alberta Premium and R&R are both very good rye's. Crowl Royal and Gibsons are good, but I prefer AP and R&R far more.

o.k. crown by far is one of the most popular of the brands suggested. crown royal special reserve to me is overated. it is very good whiskey but for the price i would buy a 1.75 of reqular crown. Seagram's v.o basically same thing as crown (made by same people as crown) but cheaper. canadian mist mid level cheaper but very popular, windsor candain mid level, Macnaughton mid level, R&R mid level, toward the bottom. If you are looking for a change may i suggest Basil Hayden's bourbon it is 80 proof and the recipe is made with more Rye so it is a sweeter bourbon (my wife loves it as i do as well on the rocks or with a splash of water). i compare it to candians all the time as i am a liquor rep. it is however a little pricey as it runs about 35.95 a fifth. also another candain to look for is Tangle Ridge. it is a very good canadian that is finished off in sherry casks so it is very flavorful and runs about 20 bucks...good luck bro!

Good sig there BIV I do have mixed feelings about the seachickens game against the panthers sunday but still hope alexander is ok so he can try and keep smith in check. Still laugh thinking about smith riding the goalpost down last sunday. Pendleton I heard is smoother than crown royal. Gotta make the whiskey of the month club selection for Febuary here in the next 4 days so gotta pick one. Any feedback on Yukon Jack or Early Times?

yukon jack is a candian liquer 100 proof (good for shotz with beer and early times is 80 proof bourbon that basically is dog shit in a bottle. it is made by the same people who make jack daniels(Brown Forman) and is a whiskey that is only around 2 years old.Enjoy!
