I would just like to give a HUGE fuck you to the boss, I won't say his name but it might be the same as a show producer that herks and jerks, at the DHL station I work at, for cutting routes and still keeping that idiot supervisor, who might be named the same as someone cozy, when management was supposed to be cut back as well.
It's bad enough that the make us wear these flammingly homo-erotic uniforms(see below) and drive these ridiculously colored vehicles, now we're losing routes and good union jobs and these zombies keep right on riding the gravy train.
Ah, maybe I should have worked at UPS. I never thought I'd be envious of a shit-brown uniform.

Yeah I see your point, but you assume that "the union is the only thing I've got". We know what they say about assuming.
But I take a pride in what I do, but when you honestly see that cuts are coming, and they're never equitable you get a little jaded. I'll even give you an example. We have 60 routes and 8 supervisors. Where I come from that's called "middle heavy". Upper management is even thicker, but that's another story. We have two sups that are called mid-shift managers, for 5 drivers. That doesn't sound a little ridiculous to you.
But take a little humble piece of advice, your boss may be nice and all that, but when it comes down to dollars, your just another number. So smile and shake his hand the next time he cuts you medical or vacation time or, I pray it never happens, hands you your termination notice.

i like some kid coming and telling you to do this in this time or u are getting written up mean while the last job he/she had was taking your order at MCd's 3 weeks ago . but they got a degree in what i dont know they are a supervisor .... does this makes sense to you cause it dont to me

driver a starts at 7am leaves with a good amount of deliveries is told not to pick up frieght from customers cause driver b who starts at 9am will get them and also make a delivery to the same place ....

when asked why reason given hold on kids here it comes..... i want the 9am driver to look busy

makes sense to me look busy to who ? not the customer we look like assholes some peope get 3 drivers a day in their office sounds smart huh??? um no not at all just a lil taste of what he and i deal with on a daily basis...

we bitch about unions and what not cause we can ..... but if i didnt have the union behind me i would be out of work .... ask your fed ex guy next time u see him how long he has been there and ask how long and how many guys in his barn are there over 15 years??? not many cause they fire u after u start making money ...... reason given cause u are too slow .... un productive thats right out the door on your ass .... with out the union i would be paying for my benefits ... my retirement .. fuck even my airline flights....

my question would be if they said they needed a degree for a supervisors job would you go back to school? of course they are young, just look at what has been said about them paying people. to be fair they should eliminate some of the supervisors but also get rid of the 9am drivers(i doubt the union would let that happen)

maybe you could work with pat making deliveries
