Hey, what's the protocol for being able to hang about in the paltalk fan room during non-show hours without getting booted? I just signed up for paltalk and popped in there today, as I signed in, had a phone call before I had a chance to say Hi or anything and within 1 minute, I was booted and can't return for 24 hours. I don't think CRKhead is an arab name... or am I wrong?

Wrong. Every fan made room has its own sets of rules and whatnot. Usually there's 3-5 rooms open during off-show hours because each room has their own rules and whatnot.

I've popped into the O&A room at night on a number of occasions...and been booted 3 times now...and it seems that every time you're in the room you have to prove you're a fan or else you'll get a 24 hour ban.
Unless Falk25 is some sort of arab code word for jihad, I don't have a clue why I've gotten the boot at all, having been a huge O&A fan since 1998.

Not that I use Pal Talk I tried it once in a while. But give the boys credit for making a room that 1000 people can get into to. They don't have to do it they do it for the fans if you look at the rate it costs about 1300 a month for that bandwith. No other show I know does that. As the storied blind Lemming that I am, I signed up for Paltalk (Xtreme in fact) and I have yet to sit down and view a significant portion of the show while it is on the air. HOWEVER, I have had some really great fun, in the O&A based rooms, with all the pests, (and allegedly the room raids too, but I don't know anything about that).

I want to thank WBL Anthony for bringing Paltalk to my attention and for providing the webcam service for us all. (I know Paltalk provides the service per se, but I thank you for buying the accounts to show it.)

Ant has stated numerous times that this is all out of his own pocket, but who cares even if he was making a little money off it? (Which I know is not the case) That has no bearing on the fact that I paid for a service and I'm getting what I paid for. Who cares if or who is making money from it. If you enjoy the show enough to want to see it and other pests on webcam, pay for it. If you only want to chat with other pests and get hit on by ragheads, keep the free service. Pal talk is great, its a lot of fun, a good way to meet people with like interests, but sometimes you get burned. Oh well, try again in 24 hours, or make a friend that can help you out. Or, make a room yourself and get people to come. Thats the basis of what I am trying to get through to everyone.

Yep, the room I run has the word Wackbag or Pest or both in it at all times.

Now, its not open as often as the other rooms. There was a group of us on paltalk WAY before it became the "thing to do". Normally, the room would open at like 9-10pm and stay open till like 1-3am. Friends would bullshit, hang out.

Now, i do, however, like to verify people as being ON wackbag. Those are people that I feel comfortable with, since there are 2-3 messageboards out there that bash people like me, and people from the show, and I like to provide them, if they choose to hang with us, a "wackbag" type, comfortable environment.

However, I'm disappointed that it's Paltalk. I've used it for a long time, and I hate it. I would have dismissed it long ago, except that I have a good friend practicing for gigs on there.
I probably shouldn't have bitched about it on Wackbag, because I already had a problem with Paltalk before Ant set up the cams.

I enjoy the show. I enjoy reading and posting on Wackbag. I'll just stick to that, and take some of my own advice. I'll try to keep bitching to a minimum.

As for "lurking" in rooms, just identify yourself as a wackbagger/fan of the show, and you shouldn't get automatically bounced. The only exception is the live room. No need to announce yourself unless you've got an arab sounding sn.

And don't forget to add your PT sn to your profile once you're all set up.

there is one room (i wont name it) that is run so poorly... it is not a official room just some regular people running it...

the mods consistantly bounce fans for no reason and it gets annoying in there because everyone is trying to be O&A and run their own radio show... and you people really need to grow up and stop harrassing the ladies...

my advice to the mods in that room... if people are causing problems IM them and give them a warning... but if people come in just to lurk and check it out... dont bounce them just because their names loor like sandcoons... they might be fans... and they are not doing anyharm just lurking

Yeah BAM, I think I know that room, one of several. I was going to sign up for the full PalTalk experience, but after getting bounced out of various fan rooms, I don’t think so. My screen name on PT is the same as here, no possible confusion with a savage. I go into a room, first post is always "Hi all", I follow the conversation looking for something to comment on, and with in 3 minutes I’m bounced. I don’t need to drop $60.00 for that crap.

Only give @'s away to people that deserve them. Not people that ask for them, not people that are in the room all the time, but people that are responsible enough to use them.

And use this e-mail an an excuse to not hurt feelings. Take all @ powers away, then give them back to those that deserve it. Whiteypi is one that dserves one, he does the job. There are a few really good @'s in there, and a shit load of shitty ones. Hooty does a good job too. You should really only have like 7-8 @'s in there.

Here's the problem. Most nights there's 300 people or more in the Fan Room. Paltalk only supports one person on mic at a time. Since there's no easy way to 'force' a talking order, you are FIGHTING for the mic whenever you want to talk. That's why you will see the mic change hands 3 or 4 times within a second or two every time someone stops talking before it finally locks onto someone -- everyone is trying to talk at once.

Now imagine the frustration when someone has a good point to add to the conversation, and you steal the mic and give 10 seconds of dead air instead. You may have had something good to add as well - hell, it could have been the exact same thing the person you stole the mic from was going to say, but since YOUR computer is not set up right, nobody heard it. Not only is it frustrating for the people you cut off, but it is annoying as all hell. Also, just like the show, there's a certain flow that builds up, and a dead air mic is like a showstopper phone call. It kills the flow because everyone (admins and non-admins alike) stops to tell you what an asshole you are, and the subject winds up changing.

If you are told that your mic sucks or you are dead airing, DO NOT fiddle with it and keep testing it in our room, and DO NOT ask other people in our room to help you. Not that we're assholes (well, ok. yeah we are, but not in that sense), but when you get asked the same question 30 times a day every day by every newbie who doesn't know what they're doing while you're trying to have a good time and relax, it really starts to grate on your nerves. Paltalk has SEVERAL help rooms that you can go into, staffed with volunteers and Paltalk Redhats (admins with a red nickname and their title - like @Swift (palsupport)) who are more than happy to help you figure out what your problem is and how to fix it. Click on the Room List, and click the Help folder right at the top, then choose once of the Help Lobbies. Go in and raise your hand, and they will help you when its your turn.

Ok? Do you understand now why people get told to "Fix your mic or get the fuck out"? If there was ony 30 or 40 people in the room, it wouldnt be a big deal (and it wasn't when our room stayed that small), but now that the room has exploded, we can't have people doing 25 in the fast lane.

That's really cool and is one of the reasons I joined Paltalk. They are always talking about the crazy stuff that goes on at night and I would love to be able to see that. I have tried paltalk this week and it's a sausage fest of guys wanking off and a few girls wowing.The towle heads are every where dible dable dible dable. You have to be on at 3am to see some real action and it's not that great unless you like 300lb 50 year olds. You get bounced from some rooms not even 30 seconds of entering it a bunch of dorks playing God but not in the O&A fan room they were funny and freindly had a good time. Not worth the money in my opinion save your money for the new portable unit.

I tried to go into the fanroom just now and got bounced for 24 hours. I haven't been in the room all week - couldn't have done anythng to offend anyone and I haven't in the past. WTF?

I have tried paltalk this week and it's a sausage fest of guys wanking off and a few girls wowing.The towle heads are every where dible dable dible dable. You have to be on at 3am to see some real action and it's not that great unless you like 300lb 50 year olds. You get bounced from some rooms not even 30 seconds of entering it a bunch of dorks playing God but not in the O&A fan room they were funny and freindly had a good time. Not worth the money in my opinion save your money for the new portable unit.

Alright... (BIG SIGH) what you do as soon as you enter the room put your mouse clicker over a name that has an '@' sign in front of it, and when you go to talk to a few Admins you cannot talk to them because they must add you first or some shit like that (for example dont bother to add 'NeoIsgod' because he has this option on his PT); thats okay move on to the next the next admin, and you right click the mouse and you see an option that says add as freind click that and say yes for the box that comes and says "Do you really want to add this person to your buddy list?" and if you get bounced you have imidiate contact with ALL admins in the room (who are appointed by Rich or AKA TheSolipsist or AKA the head admin) and they will unbounce you with a few clicks AND you are treated like an asshole when you bring nothing. to. the. table! and when you wait for Jim or Ant to enter the room and just obsess about talking to them (basically starfucking) (and Jim and Ant HATE that) and yes of course the people that are in there are dorks because the real people have something called a "job" and the rest of the people who are in there 24/7 are people who have no jobs and spend whatever money they have on XM and the Paltalk service and are obsessive compulsive about O&A and think they can control O&A's lives.

that is how you cheat the system and thats how you avoid getting bounced randomly.

I just signed up for Paltalk tonight. I really want to see everything that goes on in the studio so I'm really looking forward to this. I wish I would have signed up earlier so I could have seen Francine in the studio today.

Right after signing in with my new account that I upgraded to x-treme, I joined the "opie and Anthony fan room" and I was instantly booted for 24 hours. I didn't even get a chance to do anything wrong. My nick is "zukunft_f300" which I understand doesn't have a show reference but I can't figure out how to change it and if it's even possible. Would it help if my nick was a show reference?
Not to defend the bounce policy, but you do have one of the worst nicks possible. A nick with a show reference pretty much guarantees you won't be automatically bounced, but so does an American sounding name. They ARE trying to spread the Virus after all, just not among uncivilized savages in the Middle East. On the other hand, If I was an admin, and I saw the nick zukunft, I would automatically bounce you, too.

A nick with a show reference pretty much guarantees you won't be automatically bounced, but so does an American sounding name. They ARE trying to spread the Virus after all, just not among uncivilized savages in the Middle East. That's a bit harsh, Frank. If the admins didn't bounce the arabs, the room would be overrun in seconds with ragheads. Who needs 'em? They fuck up the room. The only good ones are the jackers, and they get boring seconds after they cum.

You can't have anarchy in a room of that size, particularly with all of the savages lurking.

there is one room (i wont name it) that is run so poorly... it is not a official room just some regular people running it...

the mods consistantly bounce fans for no reason and it gets annoying in there because everyone is trying to be O&A and run their own radio show... and you people really need to grow up and stop harrassing the ladies...

my advice to the mods in that room... if people are causing problems IM them and give them a warning... but if people come in just to lurk and check it out... dont bounce them just because their names look like sandcoons... they might be fans... and they are not doing anyharm just lurking

thats weird i never get bounced. The key is to find a admin and let them know your a fan and get them on your buddy list(try to get as many admins as possible on your buddy list) that way when you get bounced you can instant message them to let you back in. also dont use the name abdul mohammed. or just a bunch of incoherent bullshit with numbers and youll have a shot
