Can anyone give me some pointers on a good webcam? Should I get one at Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc?

here's your very own thread!
I use the Logitech Notebook Pro - it is a great camera, the Logitech 4000 (and 5000) are the equivalent. Best Buy/Circuit City/Comp USA - they are all good places to go, check the net too for a good deal.

Yes however, Mrlovkim runs Dutch WindowsXP and his Mic doesn't even work :action-sm
The consensus seems to be that logitech cams are of higher quality than Creative cams are. I have one of each and see no appreciable difference between the two however, in a side by side comparison, my group of paltalk friends said the Logitech was better. They had no prior knowledge as to the make of either cam beforehand. Funny thing is the logitech cost half as much.

I can be technology impaired at times, and I recently bought the Logitech Quick Cam Pro for Laptops. It was easy to install & set up, and I haven't had any problems with it so far.

Anyone have suggestions for a "remote Monitoring Webcam"? I know Ant has one, but I'm not finding much online.

Get one of the logitechs that has Motorized Pan and Tilt. You can use webcamxp to remote monitor your house. I used it last week, and it works great.
