Very hard question to answer.
Wolverine's definetly the coolest, but I've always liked Nightcrawler just as much, for some reason. He had, what I consider, one of the coolest superpowers.:icon_cool

Can't say Spiderman's my favorite, but home to two of the Baddest-ass villians to ever grace the comics - Venom & Carnage.:icon_cool

I'd have to go with Starbrand.
I know I'll take some hits for this and that the New Universe wan't all that popular, but the concept behind the Starbrand was awesome. You could do anything you imagined and draw from infinite energies. Also you would become immortal, which not a bad "bonus" power.
Plus, if things got boring, you could start a global event that would create more superheros/villans or you could take out a major city...

I know he's considered played out anymore but I still like Wolverine. But I gave Daniel Way a chance to find his way and now I'm getting nervous that nothing good out of the character is coming fast.

I've been a Spiderman fan since I was a little kid. . . personally, I'm a big fan of the Marvel universe in general. DC has been doing some better storylines in the past few years, but they lost me a long time ago when the writing sucked!!! As for the Starbrand post, I liked all the comics that were part of that "branch-off" from the regular Marvel titles. Too bad they didn't really take-off.
Anybody here like the animated Justice League and/or Justice League: Unlimited episodes from Cartoon Network? Even though they are DC characters, the storyline is really good and they actually bring-in some of the DC characters that don't get a lot of attention like Superman, Batman, and other "biggies" do.
I'm just a big ole geek!!!:icon_mrgr RAMONE. . . BRING ME A POCKET PROTECTOR. . . :icon_wink

Wolverine is my favorite superhero...i think his powers are cool too but if i had any superpower in the world id like invisibility, but saying I want to be the invisible woman sounds gay. But Wolvie is the most interesting superhero out there.

It takes a lot to be a superhero. But it takes someone truly special....to be a Warrior!

The only book I read on a regular basis when I was a kid was Captain America. They had some really cool storylines.... except I hated the shit with Bucky.

You know, there is only one good thing that Daniel Way has written, and that's the current Supreme Power: Nighthawk mini that ends next week. He did, however, have a totally kick ass interview about a book he was supposed to write. Seriously, check it out.

I'd have to go with my favorite hero being either the Ever-Lovin' Blue Eyed Thing or Captain America.
The character that has the most potential but no one has figured out how to write it yet would be Hank Pym. He'd be awsome if they gave him a Marvel MAX treatment. I've got an idea for a decent story as well, but really, I can't write anything worth a damn.

THE PUNISHER!!!!!! Fuck..... they finally gave a wetback a tv show, man.
Seriously though, if a superhero isn't willing to murder bad guys then he might as well move to France with the other pussies.

Nah, they toned down superman in later incarnations, so he can actually get his ass handed to him once in a while. And Batman holds on to a piece of kryptonite just in case Supes needs to be taken down a peg, you gotta love that. :)

That would be funny if the Punisher was Mexican (Mecia excluded). The comic book Punisher is Italian.

For some reason, I've always been a huge Colossus fan. Now that Whedon has brought him back, I'm right into comics again.

batman used to kill people...then (i think because of the Seduction on the Innocent bullshit) stopped, then burton made him kill again.
im a batman guy.
i like jla stuff, green lantern and especially plastic man. mostly go with dc but i tend to follow certain writers or artists (waid, ross) to whatever half-way decent project they are working on.
i do like the FF though.

I have some classic shit in the attic. Least I think it should still be there.
as far as super powers go, superman or spiderman off the top of my head sound great. iceman always seemed cool, no pun intended and human torch was cool... magneto was pretty cool....
but if i had to pick one id say its a toss up between Artie (as in Leech and Artie) or Jubilee

either superman is the only true superhero because he isnt human. or he is an alien an by superhero you have to be a human doing heroic things at such a clip or level that they are considered super. its like god. i mean if god does something pretty great an a man does the same great thing which one is more impressive?
or jesus, jesus could do whatever he wanted because he had this out that he knew he was going to heaven cause he either was the son of god or related to god. whereas if i run into a burning building the risk an effort or heroicism is greater because as a man i do not know what could kill me or where i could die. superman knows that as long as there is no krytonite hes pretty much not going to do, so i think that takes away from the herocisim of him.
but thats my opinion. an which makes green latern the best because he had to believe this ring could make him fly an keep him alive in space which you know has to take some balls.
