Correct me if Im wrong but isnt the rumble supposed to be the PPV after Wrestlemania? They are making a title fight with Mark Henry headline one of the premire PPVs ? And is this storyline based on who Davaris backing? I dont follow smackdown that much but did I miss something here?

No, I always considered Summerslam the #2 PPV.

They're basing Mark Henry being the #1 contendor on taking out Batista, finishing the runner-up in the Royal Rumble, and beating Rey Mysterio in a #1 contendor's match last week. They've built him pretty effectively as a monster.

And quite honestly, I know a lot of people who don't watch will never believe it, but I've got to say he's done a pretty decent job. It's hard to believe because Mizark's always sucked, but he's looked at least like he's competent this time around. It'll be a better match than you expect.

The reason they're not using someone else like Benoit or Orton is because they're still tied up in the U.S. Title feud. Supposedly, the Undertaker could be returning soon but has been of TV since Armageddon. And I get the feeling they're saving Angle vs. Mysterio for Wrestlemania.

I'm fine with this one actually, before Batista got hurt Henry was probably going to be a 1, at the absolute most 2 month challenger to his title until the story moved to whoever his Wrestlemania challenger was going to be. When he got hurt and had to surrender the title on such short notice, they couldn't completely bail on it and decided to just put Angle in Batista's place.

And I do agree, based on past history it's almost impossible to contemplate that Mark Henry is going to be in a main event title match at a pretty big PPV. But, if you look at it solely from what he's done in the couple of weeks since they brought him back, it's been working decently well. They've done a good job presenting him as a huge unstoppable monster, which will last until Kurt takes him out on Sunday.

The only reason he is even back is because they signed him to that stupid 10 year contract back in the day and he gets paid whether is is working or not. Stupid gorilla can't carry a match and has a rep for hurting people i.e Batista

Actually, Batista hurt his own self. Old Stiffy McGee isn't flexible and can't move! Remember the "Match from Hell" a few years ago? The Dudleyz vs Orton and Batista? The match where EVERYONE got hurt? Dave was a big part of that, he's as stiff as they come so it was only a matter of time before he put himself out. And Henry hasn't hurt anyone but himself over the past couple of years. I do agree that this is probably Mark's last big run. He's stuck it out for the past 10 years through dumb-ass angles, injuries and everything, he deserves at least one shot at the big time. He and Angle should put on a good match Sunday...

I will give it to him, he wasn't tricked into quitting by the writers and Vince with all those stupid gimmicks he was in. He got his money, more power to him.

Vince throws his money at people then when he gets tired of them he tries to find a way to get rid of them cheap. These wrestlers take years off their lives entertaining and Vince could really give a shit.
