The guy apparently draws. WWE's done some of their largest ratings numbers (4.3, 4.3, and 4.5) in a while since he became WWE champion and he's pretty much been the focal point of the show the last three weeks.

I wonder if that means they'll be sticking with him as champion for a while.

I hope so. I want to see Edge defend the title at Wrestlemania. Preferably against RVD.

Then have Angle defend his SD title against Rey Mysterio. That would be a Wrestlemania for the ages.

I'm with HHH on this one, it doesn't matter if it's Edge or Cena with the belt... the king of kings will return to his throne come WM.:action-sm

You may be right, but after ratings like this the first three weeks I think Vince may keep the belt on Edge until at least Wrestlemania.

Are people happy Edge is the champ or the Cena ISNT? I know I wouldnt have cared who they put the belt on, save maybe Master, as long as that dumb racially confused fuck lost it.

I'm sure everyone is just tuning in because it's a breath of fresh air, and maybe because Edge's "rated R" gimmick that is meant to just start controversy is actually working. But I'd still love to know how many viewers they gradually lost during Cena's reign when it was the same shit week in and week out.

speaking of his gay 'Rated R' gimmick, is it just me, or does it seem like they are trying to push the limit more since they moved over to USA again?

AT first, I have to admit that I was an "ABC" fan. ABC = Anyone But Cena, but the more and more I think about it, I really am a fan of Edge as champion. Puts a new perspective on the heel champion. New meaning its not THC anymore. THC =The Helmsly Championship.

Ok, do those two TV references get me mousetraps?

Raw has been better since he won the title. I just wish he'd get rid of that shitty belt.

That is why I am afraid they will give Cena the belt back. Its either that or Edge likes that belt which I highly doubt. They really should put Edge over Cena on Sunday. Cena juststunk so bad that anybody is better. I don't even mind seeing Cena on TV anymore because he doesn't have the belt.

I think they just sell a lot of them and decided to make it the permanent belt...or at least make Edge keep that one. It'll be interesting to see what belt HHH has when he eventually gets it back...I don't think he'll stand for that spinner bullshit.

This is a load of shit, They should never ever let anyone decide what their belt looks like. It should be one design only.

I know Austin had like 4 diffrent belts. The first reason he changed it was because the one they gave him cut his chin when he went to stun Vince.

Don't care much for Edge but like that fact that he is champ...it changes the show. By the way, anyone else annoyed that Angle is turning baby-face. They should have just left him alone.

I am so glad that they put the strap on Edge in the first place...he deserves it, just lose Lita. She's ripping Chyna off with that voice...get her away from the mic and just put her in some assless chaps.

I think that if they give it back to Cena you will see a drop in the ratings. Chester, I'm actually kind of with you in that I don't loathe seeing Cena on TV as much anymore...but the STFU? Please, fall cock-first into a blender that's on puree.

Gally, Edge vs. RVD could be an awesome feud if they let him talk the way he did at ECW One Night Stand. The California-stoner just didn't work for him. He's from Michigan, at least let him be a Michigan-stoner...mellow, but more than willing to destroy a dozen people

I definitely like Edge as champ and im starting to get into the Rated R gimmick. He definitely has the personality for it and could be the top guy for a while if he keeps drawing.

I don't think the stars get to decide. They change the belt to sell them as merchandise. It's the reason Austin had his "Stone Cold" belt, and the reason John Cena had spinners in the U.S. and WWE titles. And I think they sell more of those belts than the classic ones.

The only reason I say that thing about HHH is because he is the one guy who can call his own shots in WWE, and I can't see him walking around with that incredibly stupid looking title. It doesn't work with his character at all. I think he'd take it back to the more traditional looking one.

That seems very logical considering what I read regarding a few exemptions from the WWE's current dress code since professional attire does not work for all characters.

I would've liked to see Flair get the belt to defend vs. HHH at Wrestlemania.

That ain't going to happen. I don't think Flair can still put on a 5 star match. Yes Flair is great, but the fans won't buy it. Too predictable if he defended it at Wrestlemania. Edge thus far is a fresh start to mix up storylines and such. I wish they push Carlito a little more. I know he may suck to many, but he has something that has breakout superstar written all over him.

I doubt that. Everyone will tune in to see the Rumble aftermath.

Edge's reign was a breath of fresh air. I've always enjoyed Edge ever since he debuted in the WWE. Now, I don't think he's a great person outside of the ring and Lita just flat gets on my nerves, but he's got good mic skills and can pull off some good matches. Cena's reign just got really tired towards the end of his fued with Angle. Who knows what's gonna happen next.

yeah, I know...I'm just pissed that Cena got the belt back. The ratings will be decent tonight, but they will slide back once people see/deal with Cena again. If they really want HHH-Cena at Wrestlemania, they should have let Edge hold onto it last night and have Cena win at the next Raw PPV

Cena definitely needs to drop the title. It was reflected by the ratings numbers and it has been a while since a worthwhile heel has been holding the former wcw belt (new wwe world heavyweight belt).

But I disagree about Triple H grabbing the title, I'd rather he get screwed on the way to the top and start a fued with another up and comer, he's been in the title spotlight once too often since the Rock and Austin left.

I mean he's already a 10 time wwe world champion (both the wwe and world heavyweight belts) and he's one of the few wwe grand slam champions (holding all the relavent titles within his career).

Edge taking the belt from Cena was a breath of fresh air, yet even that is being under-utilized and from what I've seen and read, Edge will be going back to upper-mid card after he helps put Cena over as a Face.

I just say turn Cena into a heel since he's already starting to get the boos from the crowd. Switch it up with a swerve at one of the big ppvs and let him have a "F-U" run with the upper-midcard/top card wrestlers.

I knew Foley's column was going to have some real stuff in it, here's the last paragraph of his latest blog

http://www.wwe.com/superstars/raw/mickfoley/foleyisblog

Okay, I hate to end “Foley is BLOG” on a down note, but after watching the Royal Rumble on Sunday, I couldn’t help but feel that I’d been witness to the beginning of the decline of Edge’s career. I give him all the credit in the world for climbing the mountaintop — a feat many never envisioned for him — and one he accomplished through hard work and a history of great matches. But I’m not sure if Edge will ever make it to the top again. And that’s sad. For in my opinion, Edge didn’t fall off that mountaintop; he was pushed.

Now maybe this was intentionally put in there to start the apparently planned feud that is supposed to lead to a Edge-Foley WM match, but regardless, I think it's accurate.

I was a big HHH defender for a long time but I'm jumping ship.

It's the same gimmick, same promos, same matches every time out for how many years now? There's not a creative bone in this guy's body anymore. He's just mailing it in.

And if that's not bad enough, how many good wrestlers has he thrown off the cliff over the years (Edge being the latest) because he decides it's time for another run for the "King of Kings".

Edge was finally some new blood at the top of the card that could have made things interesting for a long while on RAW but god forbid someone besides Hunter holds the top heel spot for any extended period of time.

And now we're stuck with this Cena/HHH bullshit...let me spare everyone the wait and tell you how it'll end:

For two months we'll hear:

HHH is "The Game" "The Cerebral Assassin" "The King of Kings" and the king will go back on the throne.

But, wait...the champ is here! And HHH can't see him.

Fast forward to Wrestlemania, both guys juice, someone goes through an announce table, maybe a sledgehammer shot, and HHH is an 11 time champ.

I shan't be paying for that.
