I went along with the hypnotism thing before. It is very relaxing if you are willing to go under, but you are constantly aware of everything going on around you and your mind is completely under your own control.

Especially because most hypnotism is done simply for entertainment rather than clinical purposes.

As always, the best foreign language award nominations are just fucking embarassing. Outside of that it's just your typical Oscar rubbish. Junebug was okay. A History Of Violence was good but overrated, and far from Cronenberg's best movie. There is nothing else I care about. Oh, I guess The Squid and The Whale was not bad.
