Anybody else HATE the black in the Mets Uniforms/logos?

Call me a traditionalist but I hate the black Mets uniforms/hats/and logos. Anybody else think the Black uglies them up? (History lesson: The Blue represents the Dodgers, the orange represents the Giants.)

I love the pinstripes at home and away greys with the blue hats...The Yankees have not really changed their uniforms and they, imo, have a certain amount of dignity that other teams lack for it.

Why is this topical now? Its February for one, and the Mets have had black uniforms for nearly 10 years now. I don't mind it, you can't compare the Mets tradition to the Yankees tradition. The Yankee uniforms will always be the same.

The black represents Mookie Wilson, obviously. Where's your sense of Mets history?

I always hated the 'Let's pine away for the Dodgers and Giants' aspect of Mets history. In my mind it's part of the reason this team will always play second fiddle to the Yankees. (The Yankees' 26-2 edge in Championships also plays a small part, I suppose.) I'd like to see them ditch the blue and orange and the Giants' old logo and finally carve out their own identity, but that's just me. Either way I don't mind the black.

Its nothing but fucking marketing. They will have as many uniforms and hats as they can until people stop buying them.

Personally I like the black uniforms for a Sunday jersey not as a jersey that they wear every other day. I think that they should wear the pin stripes alot more often than they already do.

I really hate when teams with blue color schemes decide to throw black into the mix. The Mets have never had black, nor have the Jays or the Royals and yet all of them use it on their uniforms now - it just looks fucking terrible.

The black jerseys with the gray pants makes them look like a beer league softball team. They should stick with the traditional blue caps with the pinstripes or snow white uniforms for home and the blue caps and gray uniforms for the road.
