Last night on Raw, the name and memory of Eddie Guerrero was used as a storyline device to create heel heat for Triple H going into his match with Chavo Guerrero. Without revealing any spoilers, WWE has more plans in the works to use Eddie Guerrero's name in order to create heat for their heels. While babyfaces wrestlers like Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit and Chavo Guerrero have been paying tribute to Eddie during their matches and interviews, even incorporating them into their storylines to a degree, it is now apparent that WWE is going to be using it more often now, and will be looking to get boos for their heels by having them disparage Guerrero.
This is just disgusting, Rey using it for cheap pops and no HHH trying to get boos from Eddie's deathe. The WWE is just turing into a hunk of shit.

Well then you'll be surprised at what happens this Friday night on Smackdown.
Supposedly there's an angle with Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio where Randy claims that since Eddie was all about "lying, cheating, and stealing" that he didn't go to heaven but that instead he's burning in hell.
Gotta love those soap opera writers they hire for the creative staff, it does wonders.

Fuck WWE. I said that in 2001, still mean it just as much today.
I don't know...they had to use something to explain why Rey Mysterio would put his guaranteed title shot at Wrestlemania on the line. It'd be stupid if they just had Orton come out, challenge him, and have Rey accept. So they needed to make it a grudge match and have Orton get under his skin to make him want to fight Orton, and really the only thing Rey's been known for the last three months is Eddie.
Now that being said...the whole premise is stupid. If they want Orton in the Main Event match at Wrestlemania, they should have had him win the Rumble to begin with. This "swerve" is just a waste of time and all it's going to do is bury Mysterio by the end if he loses.

WWE is filth... it's fuckin garbage... hence why I quit watching, after 17 years straight of watching, a few years ago.

This is the only time they have genuinely offended me since the Kane-Lita baby angle.
And I work in a high school-I'm used to offense.

What does this say in Booking 101?
As long as the Guerrero family is getting paid off of him too, who can really judge?

this stinks, you didn't see them turning Owen Hart's death into a plot point for storylines. what the hell are they thinking in Stanford?? are they that desperate for storylines? i know their writing has sucked these past couple years, but just...damn.

Everyone has probably saw/heard that Mick Foley is non-plussed with the whole "Eddie Guererro is in hell" angle (see most recent Foley is Blog)
what I don't understand is if you're going to use Eddie as an angle how about just saying, "Look (insert typical Eddie Jr. character here), you are ONLY in your current position because of how close you were to Eddie. He was great....you're just complete shit"

according to many sources, at No Way Out, Eddie's widow and children will be at ring side, will recieve RKO's, Randy will spit on an Eddie shirt, then rip it up, then RKO and defeat Rey.
And people wonder why I won't watch WWE anymore.

I'm not offended by using Eddie's name just because they're making Orton do it to be a heel. It's really no different to me than them using it to get sympathy cheers for Rey and Chavo (who honestly wouldn't need it if they were just allowed to be themselves and wrestle good matches).
It's just a boring storyline which is a shame because I like both Rey and Orton.

It's jsut not neccessary, and to be honest, it further illustrates that the creative team is anything but creative. Eddie's kids have to go to school...I work in one-kids are cruel-I'd hate to hear what his kids have to listen to if any of their classmates watch Wrestling...

You may not be offended by it, but i'm sure the family takes exception to it. Am I shocked that McMahon would use it in a storyline? Absolutely not. Vince would use his own sons death in a storyline... Hell, the story Patrice told on the show says it all. Vince does whatever he wants and there's no one that will go against his wishes because if you do, you can go wrestle somewhere else.
