I was at a mexican place type bar place in the village saturday night with my girl and a bunch of friends....at around 1 AM there was a scuffle in the back where security ran back...they ended up dragging a presumbly drunk white trouble maker out...two large 250 LBS bouncers..one black and one dark hispanic holding each arm...as they got to the front, the white drunk started saying "why are you hitting a girl? you have a hit a girl to feel like a real man"
Instantly enraged the hispanic bouncer punched the white drunk in the face twice, knocking him to the ground in the fetal position...and the attacker continued to kick the white drunk 8 times (i counted) in the stomach and chest and twice hard right in the face...enough that the crowd responded with a gasp (i shit you not)...the other black security guard watched. Didn't do anything or say a word while this guy got the shit kicked out of him...
I was no less than 15 feet away with my girl and her friends and hated that I couldnt' do anything. Anyway everyone left and about 10 minutes later the cops showed up...
Anyway, I hate the fact this security guard kicked the shit out of the guy....the white drunk was obviously a problem, but did not deserve to be kicked like that...bouncers shouldn't be emotional...and easily outweighed the guy by 80 pounds...I want to do something.
I dont' want to have to testify at a hearing though. I came up with the idea of writing a detailed letter to the management of the bar and note that i'm sending copies to the NYPD, Daily News, NY Post, Fox 5 news, etc.
Does anyone agree with that? thoughts? I can't talk to anyone else about it..

Can you explain so this makes sense? Who hit what girl?
What I get out of this story: Drunk asshole starts a problem in a bar and gets kicked out. Drunk asshole mouths off to bouncers. Bouncers kick his ass.
Now you feel sorry for the drunk asshole who got kicked out for starting shit, then started shit with the bouncer, and got his ass handed to him?

Why don't you want to testify? You hated that you couldn't do anything then (I agree with you not stepping in), but now is your chance to do something. If that were me or my loved one laying on the street, I'd want every one of the witnesses to come forward.
What is writing a letter to management going to do? Get the guys fired? Well that's just swell. Let's just allow them to move on to another establishment and continue to kick the shit out of people.
Doughboy, I"m not sure anyone deserves to have their ass kicked that badly. They're bouncers, and should take only the measures necessary. From the story, this sounds a little extreme.

As a former bouncer, one fucking Hot Button for me are bouncer fucktards who get emotionally involved and essentially act like goons. Those mother fuckers should be fired, they should be criminally prosecuted, and then finally they should be civilly sued, as should the bar. The poor fuck that got tossed and labeled should retire a wealthy man.

Mouthy assholes starting trouble in bars/clubs need their asses kicked. If more people got their faces kicked in, they'd think twice about the beer muscles they get after sucking a few beers back.
Maybe the OP or you didn't think he needed to be kicked in the face, but maybe you weren't there the night before when he was acting like an asshole. Maybe this guys was making comments trying to 'hit below the belt' of this boucer and got what he derseved.
Then again, maybe the bouncer was just an asshole juicehead that needs to be dragged out back and shot.

As a former bouncer, you would know how much of a pain in the ass that some people can be and how much of a DANGER that those type of people can be.

Just curious...at what point is it the bartender's fault for continuing to serve these ass holes? I was out on Saturday to see a band and these fuckos next to me could barely stand let alone attempt the "white guy" dance, yet they kept coming back with more shots & drinks. Does the bartender bear any responsibility for not cutting him off & therefore limiting their beer muscles?
And yes, I know that if they're in a group, and you cut one off, their friends will just continue to buy them more drinks.

The white guy was a problem...i get that...but the bouncers easily could've tossed him out...the two each outweighed him by 80 lbs...probably more. I hate the fact that the one bouncer kicked the shit out of him (literally....he had to go to the hospital after a beating like that...I was 15 feet away) but i'm also pissed at the other bouncer for not doing anything...he was the one guy that would've made a difference.
Sad thing is I could ALMOST understand if he was throwing around racial comments to get a beating like that...he wasn't...he was asking again and again "why did you have to hit the girl...."
I don't want to testify because I don't want lawyers getting into my private life to discredit me and have me answer questions under oath or deal with his possible "homies" finding out where I live and work...and end up getting into my own shit because i'm trying to help some guy out...if he was bleeding and stabbed or really bad shape I can understand...
What i think the letter will do will possibly draw attention to the bar...maybe label it as a bad place...run the place out of business maybe?
Yes, I want the bouncer fired....maybe more. If he did it on the street it would be battery....why not in a bar? he was 10 feet from the door...the bouncer enraged the situation... and decided he was judge dredd...

If it were me, I'd contact the police. I don't think they can't make you testify if you don't want to, and I don't think they can identify you if you don't want them to. Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll have enough witnesses and won't need you if it goes to trial. Maybe you'll be even luckier and this guy will plea bargain, knowing that there's a wealth of evidence against him.
Write the anonymous letters to the owner of the establishment and the media, but don't expect much to come of it. If he does get fired you might fuck up his life for a week or two, but unless he's done this before and has a reputation for being violent, he'll just go work elsewhere.

I was a bouncer for 2 years while in school. Being a good bouncer doesn't mean that you kick the shit out of everyone. In the club that I worked at, the main thing was to get them out of the bar with as little problem as possible. Yes I have hit some people, but it was a last option. Once they were outside, we were done with them.

I honestly can't believe that anyone would say not to do something in this case. If the guy was wrong, he deserves to be punished. If he doesn't, he will just be free to do it again.
I would contact the police like HT said

I agree, drunk or not that guy was assaulted. Anyone on here that said to not say anything would change their tune if they were the ones being beat down.
These guys are not going to come look for you because you contact the police. What's the worse thing that could happen? Oh no you might not be able to hang out at that one bar anymore. Small price to pay in my mind.

Good point, VB, however I wouldn't EVER go back since there's a chance the bouncers have a habit of beating down the customers. Actually, can we get the name of this place? At the very least, can you PM it to me? If this is the type of bouncer they hire, I don't want to be anywhere near there.

Bouncers who act like goons should be ***** with a knife. Unfortunately, that's 90% of the cunts.
The best ones are the ones you don't notice. What I hate are the fuckers who make it a point to walk through your circle of friends at the bar just to let us know he's there. They're all douchebags... Fuck 'em.

Thanks man. Glad a few in here agree. Minding your own business is the most overlooked option in life. More people should subscribe to it.
Look, that guy made a conscious effort to get that drunk in public. There is a risk that comes with that. He also fucked with some very large guys, I don't care if they were bouncers or not. I HATE people who get shitfaced and act like they're not responsible for their actions. You decided to get that drunk stupid, it's your fault.
If you can't handle your liquor, drink at home and hit the bars for some light drinking or soda with your friends. That's too faggy for you? Too bad, life isn't fair.

I'm trying to find the story in the press, but I keep coming up empty. I bet if it was a white bouncer, and a black or hispanic patron it would be all over the news and considered a "hate crime."
For those that say, "do nothing," I hope you never become a victim of a crime where witnesses are needed. And if you do, I hope those witnesses do the right thing and come forward on your behalf.
I know it's extreme, but anyone ever hear of Kitty Genovese? http://www.crimelibrary.com/serial_killers/predators/kitty_genovese/

Exactly, every person on here that thinks that they should "mind their own business" would be the first people on here whining after they got their ass's beat complaining that they can't get anyone to admit what they saw for their own benefit.
This isn't a gang or the mob. This is not a "no snitching" situation. Regardless of how drunk this asshole was it seems from the original story that the bouncer could of just tossed him out in the parking lot and been done with it. Contrary to popular belief a bouncer is supposed to prevent violence not start it.

you're insane. That shit happens every weekend in bars and clubs across the country. No civil rights lawyer would touch that.
you gonna tell me that there's no white bouncers in hip-hop clubs, and that they never hand out a beatdown to nigs and esses?

go fuck yourself.
I've been "removed" from plenty of bars. The LAST thing that comes to mind is the justice system.
if it's serious, then he'll hear about it again, and have his chance to step forward.
If not, then let it go. You saw a guy get his ass kicked by bouncers, big fucking deal.

First off tough guy who are you to go talk to me like that. Big deal we have a differing opinion act like an adult and have a debate. Second I wasn't the one who witnessed the beating. So technically I could care less. I listened to other opinions and gave mine, thats it.
