How many of you will dump your MyFi when the Inno & Helix come out??

I would have considered it if O&A hadn't started updating the pad data (although I've heard conflicting information as to whether the new units would allow fast forwarding within a segment or not).

But since, they fixed that problem and I for the most part, I use my Myfi in my office, so the size is not an issue, I have no reason to upgrade).

If I can work it out I'm definitely going to buy one of the new units when they're released. But just that in itself won't cause me to dump my Tao, which I just bought this christmas. Dumping it, nah...ain't gonna happen.

It's always good to have a backup, and with the Tao's recording capabilities
I'll set it to record O&A and the daily worst of segment just like I'm doing now.

I might get the Samsung, however I wish my Tao could work with the new XM passport that way I could justify keeping the Tao around once I get the new one.

I'm waiting until there's a unit with a big ass MP3 player built in to it. I want iPod comparable storage capacity before I give up my MyFi for another unit. I like my MyFi! :)

I don't have a 2go unit as of yet, but to be honest, I'll go with one of the ones that has been out as opposed to the Inno or the Samsung one seeing as that really isn't a lot of mp3 storage and the fact that I just bought a 20gig mp3 player this past summer.
Really doesn't matter to me if I have two separate units as they both serve their own purpose.

Wait until you see a online deal on wackbag or xm411. I got my 2go unit for less than a skyfi 2 unit, without the home or car kits! I would also spend the extra 100 bucks on the new units as opposed to the 2go units. Recording shows and music works well if you have lots of space for all you want for a week.

You will need 35 hours a week to record both the O&A and RF show.

Also if the antennas work well, the smaller size will be such a plus. The current units are kind of bulky as compared to ipods.

whoisisthis, you really don't know what your are missing unless you have a skyfi 2 (and know how to record...) or xmpcr.

I'll wait til the price comes down a bit. My Myfi serves it's purpose
very well so I'm in no hurry to replace it right now.
I paid under $200 for my 1st 2 Myfi's and under $100 for the
last 2. Prices always go down.

haven't checked those out yet

I got the MyFi specifically for the gym, but if I put in in my pocket when I run, it damn-near pulls my pants down. And I'm not about to strap it to my arm with that big elastic band they sell...

I was about to break-down and just buy an I-pod and an Audible.com sub, but these new units look like they're worth the wait:)

Made me laugh!

Kind of pressed for cash. Maybe O&A will give me one for nothing but spreading the virus? I wish.

Eventually one will be mine!

I think I'll take the dive on the Samsung one, I think it will be great.

If any other fellow wackbaggers would be interested, I'd sell ya my venerable MyFi for a small price. :action-sm

Believe me, the MyFi is just an awesome radio unit, I love mine and swear by it, as its never given me problems, but the Samsung one looks improved so I'll try it and see.

the new portable units are going to be sweet. I just hope they are released in march and not delayed. To all xm2go owners, you can probably still get a decent buck off ebay now, but once they next gens come out, forget about it.

Love my MyFi, can't live without it. Cleveland has a few repeaters (Howie's "dumb" idea) and I can get great reception indoors when I am near one, and my gym and college just happen to be near some. I figure I will wait until the craziness over the new units settles down and get one for about 1/2 of what they will initially go for. My wife paid over 300 bucks for my current MyFi in December 2004, and now they are going for under 100 bucks. I can only assume the Innos and Helixes will follow suit.

(Who am I kidding? I will have one of those fucking things the day they come out. It's only money, right?)

Same here....I just worried since I professionally installed my Myfi in my car that I wont be able to use the same wires and shit to dock the new ones since they are smaller. I have a universal holder for it though so I should be good.

I was going to get the Inno. But now the boys droped the info about the passport setup. Not sure how that is going to work. will it some how work with all radios or just ones that will come out after the passport. I only need one radio but if I can switch between them that would rock.

After seeing the major improvements from the Skyfi 1 to the Skyfi 2, I made the decision to sit the Myfi out in anticipation for something better. It looks like the Inno and the Helix are what I want.

I'll be getting one shortly after they come out.

The new systems look great but I got the MyFi for $99.00 and it does all I need. DOwn the road I'll consider getting but it's not something I have to have since the MyFi gives me all the XM lovin I need.

Now if I can win one some-where.....

I'll be getting one of the new units once the price drops to a reasonable amount, unless the boys get fired by then.

:( I work in a Tempest shielded Building. We can't even get the local radio station 2 miles away. Even if I could bring those things into my office (which I can't) they wouldn't work anyways. God damn secret squirrel bullshit!

Bought the MyFi for around 200, then got the adapter for my xm ready tv/dvd/nav system in my car. So I havent used the MyFi since, its just sitting in my room, The online feeds does enough for me. I'll just give my MyFi to a friend. The MyFi didn't really impress me for what I wanted it for. I would have to struggle to get reception when it wasn't docked in somewhere. If these units are truly on the go listening live, then I'll get one definitly. Which one? Not sure yet

Yes, I will drop mine as soon as I can and pick me up the Pioneer Inno. Since the pad data doesn’t carry over to the replays, not worth keep the. Since I record the show later that night and listen to the show a day late.

Some days I want to call in, but forget I am a day late.

I'm gonna get an Inno and keep my MyFi's and the Roady. You can't have too many XM radios.
