Well....the last time this happened Art was replacing Mike Shanahan, the Raiders were playing in Los Angeles, his quarterback was Jay Schroeder and his running back was one Mr. Bo Jackson.

Welcome back Art, have fun with Kerry "Tom" Collins and LaMont "our team sucks something awful" Jordan.:icon_eek:

Oh, well. . . I guess it's gonna be more "trying to fuck with a limp dick" football for the next few seasons. . . :icon_conf

On a "Raider-related" note: Randy Moss really did a whole lot for these guys, didn't he?

Raiders need to dump Collins and either draft a top QB or aquire one in the off season. Their offense is pretty good BUT their D is pure shit.. they need to focus on bringing in a playmaking linebacker(J Peterson)... finnally let woodson go into free agency... and add a few guys who arn't soft as shit. Al Davis needs to adjust to the new style of the NFL or the Raiders are going to be in some serious trouble.

Interesting move...I always thought Shell was a pretty good coach. Maybe this is a step in the right direction for the Raiders.

...however, the real problem with Oakland is fucking Al Davis.

Yessir, that it is

It'll be interesting to see what/how the Raiders do this next season...they've got some SERIOUS cap numbers on their defense. Charles Woodson has a cap # of like $10 million, Warren "I used to be good" Sapp as a number around $7 or 8 million, and even Ten Washington has some assinine number like that. So not only will their D stink again this next year...but it will suck with a bunch of new guys on the team too

I always liked Art Shell...probably because he was an offensive lineman in the first place:icon_mrgr
