I guess since Styles has started with WWE Vinny mac hasnt liked that he calls the matches instead of pushes storylines.

wtf...Styles is the best at what he does (IMO) and Vince would rather just have him push story lines instead of making shit interesting.

Isn't he supposed to be the play-by-play guy?

Maybe he can replace him with Booker T. Blech

Vince needs to leave Joey alone. He is what the WWE needs in a broadcaster right now.He is a hell of a lot better then good ol JR.Joey sure as hell can't push the story lines if they are awfull to begin with.Let the man do what he is good at call matches and nothing else.

Vince just gets pissed when Styles calls the names of moves that he doesn't know. Any time someone knows more than Mr. Mc Mahon about something he loses his mind.

Yeah this is just Vince trying to make Joey Styles into a Jim Ross type announcer without the southern accent. Vince has been trying to do this for years, listneing to marketing and promotional executives telling him that Jim Ross' announcing style was what they wanted but that his accent made him more regionalized and would in turn have a negative effect to people not familiar with the southern drawl he had made his trademark from.

In other words, executives are looking at demo charts for a business that seems to defy most statistical characterizations due to their subject content and the inherant cyclical nature of the business.

They see JR has having a regional accent so he appeals to regional peoples and this in turn alienates people who are not regional. This is taken off many psychological reports and studies and applied to this situation, as for the most part Northerner's perceive a Southern accent as a sign of unintelligence, and vice versa when it comes to Northern accents such as those found in Boston or New York.

They've been trying to break away from the Southern hillbilly image for years and they're trying for a neutralized accent when it comes to most of their on air personalities. This is also evident in many other forms of entertainment as neutralized accents are slowly taking over for many foreign broadcasting departments even though they broadcast out of England or Australia.

Getting off the rant, it's safe to say, they want Joey Styles to be Jim Ross without the hick accent, and it doesn't work that way.

I mean honestly, how many times can you hype up the Undertaker in one night without over-exposing it and ruining the hype in the first place. It's more of a disservice to the wrestler's wrestling when the promos are taking place (since they are taken out of the center of attention) and it becomes annoyingly redundant.
(Especially with the kayfabe speculation, god damnit I fucking hate Johnathan Coachman, that asshole keeps giving out semi-smark comments on what may happen on a future match but doesn't do it in a subtle way like Jerry Lawler does).
