FUCK YOU DELTA, YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT DICKBAGS!!

I made reservations for a trip to Salt Lake City last August, with a planned departure date of 2/15/06, returning 2/20/06. Going to Park City to do some skiing. Well, we were all set to leave Cleveland at 5pm, and get into SLC at about 9pm SLC time. Then our return flight was supposed to leave at 10am, and we were going to get into Cleveland at about 4pm. These times, while cutting it close, worked great with work, school and everything else.

Now - We are leaving Cleveland at 4pm, which we can't do because of that bullshit "be there 2 hours early garbage" (wife isn't even done with work until 2pm), and we have a 3 HOUR LAYOVER in Cincinnati (was originally 35 mins), and we are now not arriving in SLC until 11:30 at night (arriving at our lodging in Park City around 1am, after getting our baggage and ride up there). On the way back, we now leave at 12:45pm, getting into Cleveland at 8:30pm.

These cock-smoking asscunts fucking changed EVERYTHING about our flights, to the point where I am now going to have to skip a class, my wife has to come up with some sort of bullshit excuse to leave work early (which may not even work, then we are really fucked), we are gonna be so fucking beat from travelling that skiing Thursday will suck, and we will be getting back to our house so fucking late (probably 11pm) on 2/20 that my wife is probably going to be a zombie the next day at work.

1) How the fuck can they just change everything?
2) How the fuck can they do this and not tell me anything? If I didn't check tonight to confirm, I would have had no idea.

I agree sir, delta does suck. There union so the company kinda has to bow to there employees. As a ex Hopkins airport employee i know that Delta, Southwest, American and Northwest airlines there are for shit. They have skeliton crews there that again are union so if the times need changed to help out the employees they will do such. They have no choice. The only thing i tell people about cleveland is to go Continental. There pritty good. NEVER buy from places like orbitz for flights out of Cleveland because it gives ya no leg to stand on if there is a problem. The thing about it is the fact that they can f up your plans with out any monitary penaltys.

Second question is WHY salt lake ? lol JK

I feel for you. The airlines usually only make drastic changes like yours. Is when there are not alot of people on a particular flight. Call them & see if you can change it around (flying into another airport & getting a connecting flight). Though you may wind up flying like Opie. Good luck.

I flew on America West from Omaha to Las Vegas via Phoenix roundtrip a few years ago. The return trip was delayed because they didn't have a crew to fly from LVS to PHX. So I missed the last connecting flight to Omaha on a sunday. So those PIGFUCKERS decided to put me up in a nice hotel. I paid for a first class seat, and expected to be treated as such for where they would put me up for the night.....WRONG. These PIGFUCKERS put the guy ahead of me in the last room at the Marriot Hotel, and then sent me to a motel that was complete with crack whores, dope dealers and an occasional pimp in the parking lot. They lost my luggage on top of everything else.

America West=PIGFUCKERS. They will never get this fancy man to fly on thier airline again.

There is a pilots strike at the Delta Authority here in Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, I think that had to do with your delay.

I had a similar thing happen last year with American. I had a weekend trip to Boston planned. I had originally purchased direct flights from Sacramento to Boston that would have given me the chance to spend three entire days in Boston while only sacrificing 1 vacation day at work. Perfect, right?

Wrong.

They scrapped the flights entirely. Same thing – planned and purchased in August, flights in February. They changed the flights without notice. I called because I noticed in October that the flights apparently no longer existed. They said they had re-arranged my flight plans. Where I was leaving Friday after work and returning on Monday late enough to count Sat-Sun-Mon as full days to screw around, they changed it so I was leaving Friday morning and returning Monday morning. Not only cutting out a day of the trip, but adding a night in a hotel, effectively. I told them that wasn’t good enough and offered a compromise that included a stop-over in NY but otherwise didn’t change my timing. About six weeks before the trip, I receive an email (how nice!) with the current flight plans. They had changed the return flights. I was now flying from Logan to JFK, and Newark to SMF. That’s right, I was flying into one airport and then flying out of another for the second leg – and before you New Yorkers get too excited, they gave me 45 minutes between the flights.. Great. So I call to rant and of course find out what are my options. They don’t have any flights anymore that fit my wants, so I ask for a refund. They state that because *I* changed the flight plans, that no refund was available. I explained that *I* didn’t change the flight schedule, and they’d better remember that the customer gets what they want. (pretty much exact words) They told me and I’ll never forget, “Well it doesn’t appear so in this case, does it?”

At that point I state that I absolutely will accept nothing less than a complete and full refund. They aren’t going to fly me at the schedule that I had paid for, blah blah blah. I get put on hold for about 5-10 minutes. They come back on to ask a few questions and then – they give the refund. I immediately ordered airfare on JetBlue for less than I had originally paid anyway. Direct flights, three full days in Boston.

American was on ChrisC-EIT's Phucko List before there ever was one.

Personally, I’ve never had a problem with Southwest either. I’m not sure why some people dislike them – although on the East Coast I can imagine there’s better options.

Re: Orbitz. Use their site for searching, but purchase directly from whomever you decide to go with. Hotels routinely offer complete refunds or (when you cancel last second) credits for future stays when you cancel. Airlines are similar. When you deal directly with the customer the way they do, there's more chance that they'll respect your wants. Orbitz or any other online "travel agent" blows dead goats for any kind of service that most of us would expect.

Yes Fuck all airlines! Jet blue, Delta, American, Southwest ect ect I fly quite often and have been hosed by all of them....


Best one ever was my trip to florida for vacation last winter.... yea check flight night before its cancelled..... wasn't 2 days before?...called 800 # is busy? WTF... call again for 20 mins busy? call thier internation line and ask to be transfered to domestic flights.....(odd way of getting in)

Yeah they have issues...They all want you to book ahead, but then they screw you. It has no longer become worth the hassel to plan ahead. Another great thing they like to do is completely rearrange their flights when we change the clocks. If a flight leaves at 8am and we spring forward the flight is now at 7am...This happens all the time...b/c they go by an international time scale, but can't be bothered explaining that to the customer.

Delta totally blows. I was flying from Omaha to BWI, and had a layover in Cinncinnati. 10 minutes after the flight to Baltimore was scheduled to leave, they cancelled it. They said it was "mechanical trouble". So I ran ahead of the crowd and got to a ticket agent who said the flight was cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. What the fuck, they can't even get their story straight! My choices were terrific: wait 4 hours to for another flight to BWI, or wait 2 hours and fly to Altanta and then to BWI. So I waited 4 hours hoping Delta wouldn't cancel my new flight on a fucking whim.
Cincinnati is kind of a boring airport to be stuck in for 5 hours.

Here's another reason Delta sucks - I wrote to complain about cancelling the flight for no reason after it was supposed to take off. They only gave me a 75 dollar credit for my troubles. In comparision, Spirit once put my luggage on the wrong plane, offered to ship it to me or I could wait 2 hours for it to show, and my complaining got 100 bucks from them. I donated all my Delta Skymiles to one of those funds that uses them to fly soldiers and their families around and told Delta I'll never pay to fly on their fucking airline again.

I have gone thru that exact same thing...seriously it is easier to walk then wait for those idiots to come thru.....and you would think that the airlines would be doing everything possible to attract customers.....now all I need to do is buy my own Cessna and fly myself
