You know, people say that being single on Valentine's day is really no big deal.

And they're right.

But what I do hate about Valentine's day is the fact that my family gets me shit. Why? I don't even want a gift when I have a girlfriend, why would I want anything from my family? This isn't fuckin' Christmas, people. Buy shit for your significant other or don't buy shit at all.

Anyone else get shit from family members on this overrated holiday?

I get a guilt trip every year to get something for my mom. It is kind of ridiculous but she gets upset if I don't so I go buy some flowers or something. I totally get what you are saying though.

I kind of agree. I always am grateful if someone goes out of their way to get me a gift, but on Valentine's day it just feels weird to get a gift from someone you're not fucking, much less your family. But whatever. It's one day and I suppose there are more important things in life to worry about.
