I'd like to know why certain people feel that their car is an extension of themselves?
It's a freaking depreciating asset, and a mode of transportation at best.
Spend a bit more on not being such a self centered person, you'll be better for it.
DoughBoy

What pisses me off is when people act all holier than thou because it is a 'depreciating asset and mode of transportation at best' instead of respecting something that someone spent TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON.
Just because you don't respect or care about your property doesn't mean you should shit on people who actually do.
If I take the time to park out in west bumblefuck because I've got a nice new car/paintjob that I just spent 10 hours washing/waxing/detailing and don't want to get dinged and I catch someone parking next to it and/or keying it... I'll happily teach them the meaning of 'shitting teeth for a week'.

Don't get me wrong, I'd never do anything to fuck up someone's vehicle just be to be an asshole.
I just don't understand the appeal of pouring tens of thousands of dollars on something that could be wiped out by some asshole in an instant, like an everyday car.
Show cars are completely different, that's a lifestyle/hobby and people get lots of enjoyment from it. More power to them. I do *get* wanting to keep your stuff nice, but being a dick by taking up four spaces invites more trouble then it's worth, IMO.
I remember once in high school at an awards ceremony this kid show up and parks the M3 his parents bought him (this kid was stuck up to begin with) and sprawled it across three parking spots, and just sat there playing tough guy with his car, so we (at the time we were in an 89 bronco) went back to my friends house and got his brothers bmw (i forgot which one it was) came back and parked it parallel to his, right next to him then sat there in the exact same pose as him and all. He realized we did it only to give him shit and tried to get his buddies to do something, in the end we basically tossed them around and the kid took off pissed in his m3 and didnt wanna look us in the eyes at school ever again.

At home I got the wife and kid, everything is ours.

I still don't understand why anyone would have a problem with me not wanting to get my car messed up.
Keep in mind, I don't care if you spend $200.00 bucks for your car or not, I will not want to pull up next to you and fling my door open to smash your car. I would respect the fact that it is YOUR car and not just any $200.00 car.

I don't know why they can't fucking park straight, usually i am a little early for class and i will sit in my car and wait needless to say, needless to say some giant chocalate thunder patrice o'neil looking broad will fly into the spot next to all crooked and then give me that look of entitlement like i did something wrong. It drives me fucking nuts too when people can't even park straight. If you are going to park at the back of the lot where no one else ever parks than why would you need to worry about a door ding, the only reason people park sideways is because they think their car is the shit.

I guess you're correct. I've always assumed the negroes saying "Word is Born" really mean "Word is Bond", like they say Valentimes day instead of Valentines day.
word is bond
Saying this means that what you are saying is absolutely correct, and you do not have to put up money to prove it, you just say it. The term originates from the financial markets where, historically, traders would tell each other, "my word is bond", i.e. my word is good enough, you don't need it in writing.
This term is also in the lessons of the Nation Of Islam (http://www.rapdict.org/index.php?title=Nation_Of_Islam&action=edit) and 5% (http://www.rapdict.org/5%25_Nation) "Have you not learned that your word is bond? Yes, my word is bond and bond is life, I shall give my life, before my word shall fail."

If for some reason, you and I were at a bar or something, and I was walking by just as you gestured to your friend and you accidentally smacked me in the face giving me a bloody nose that would be similar. And, I would hardly come here and post an FU to your wildly swinging arm.

back in highschool, i knew kid who would park and take up four parking stops in the school lot. let's just say, one day all four of his tires had cuts in them and i had no idea how they got there.
seniors and juniors where allowed to drive to school. it was basically first come first serve. so when 1,500 kids want a parking place and this asshole takes up four, let's just say the cut tires where not the first or last thing that ever happened to his car.

Seriously...I am a guy who will def squeeze my honda civic in that 3ft spot and go out the back right door if i have too...I can't stand the multi-spotters (unless you are at the back of the lot or the lot isnt full) Where i work there is barely 1 spot for every car so ppl will park anywhere they can. As far as bumps and dings go it comes w/ the territory. Getting all worked up about a door ding is what gets you dead of a coronary at 55.
The real people to blame are the lot planners. As cars get bigger the spots are getting smaller...bigtime. Parking spaces are a joke now, and what makes it worse is all the suv's who don't know how to pull straight in. If you can't park it don't drive it...

It's a car. Get over it. With the state of America today, you're lucky it's still there. People who don't have nice things are always angry at people who do - you can't park wherever you want with whatever you want inside; that's just a fact.
I gave up a long time ago. Now I don't even wash my SUV - I keep it in great shape in every other aspect, but I refuse to wash it and advertise that it's worth money.
It sucks, but that's what you have to deal with when you're not rich.
