The Mets did the best they could given the fact that they didn't have the starting pitching that got them there and they gave the Cards a really good match.

It really sucks for Beltran, I seem to remember hearing on WFAN that according to his stats he's really good on the road and the worst in the league at home.

That was really was an A-Rodish thing to do in that tight a spot. With an 0-2 count you NEED to become a deffensive swinger.

I cant put the blame on anyone, not even Beltran, he was huge all year, and no one showed up to hit in this game.

The cards won, and did a good job of it. It was a great series and my main pain is the Mets didnt come out winners. I am also upset that catch by Endy was, at the end of the day, all for naught. That was one of the greatest catches ever. The height he got, the jump, the extention, the DOUBLE play. Brilliant.

It is too soon to say If Ill renew my season package for 07; I am just not ready to think about it.

And the Phillies, as of this moment, are setup better going forward because of their young pitching that's already in place, and their core of Howard, Utley, Rollins, is as good if not better than the Mets core of Reyes, Wright and Beltran.

The Phillies have two moves they KNOW they need to make this offseason.

you wont hear me say that. i am not a big beltran fan(so last night was very pleasing) but the other players mentioned here are very good. you have a nice group but need some more pitching, then again most teams do.

The mets fell short this year of making it to the world series this year, after a 05 season that wasn't anything to be excited about. Your team sucked this year. They didnt even see a playoff game. I heard this from a co-worker today, and it pissed me off to no end. After the game last night, I pretty much had no hate for the Cards as we blew this series by handing them game two and not hitting seven straight innings last night.

But for these ass hats to pretty much mock the Met fans, who by the way, they would die to get support from there 76 year old midwestern white women, really got under my skin. I spent around $700, burned three sick days, a vacation day, and a banked holiday so I could go to five of the six home games. I took pride in rooting as hard as I could to try and push my team to victory. For these fucking millionaires to mock me after winning the series is just too much. First off Wright had far from an "Amazing" season. The second half of the season and especially in the playoffs he was less than stellar to say the least.
