The open house will take place at the following times:
* Friday, March 17, from 7-10 p.m .
If Whackbagers want to check out the sport you can go to South Plainfield right here in NJ for an open house. It's actually a really fun sport, I was on the Rutgers college team back when I was there.

I think that is one of the funniest replies I've ever seen on Wackbag; straight-forward, and to the point

I have to say... I am fascinated by the sport... I have been watching the Olympic Coverage... Getting pissed when the US was making bad throws.
Don't think it would keep my interest too long without lots of alcohol though.
I also, have to say, I have never seen or knew of the existance of this "sport" till this years Olympics.

LJX.. Why did I know you'd be the one to try and get a Wackbag curling team together? You actually came up in a conversation I had today about people into this non-sport.

It's quite tiring. Running back and forth on the sheet of ice gets exhausting. I think over the course of a match you are running over a mile. Every person plays every position, you rotate around.

Do they have wheelchair curling?:action-sm
Actually, if I was closer, I'd join a Wackbag curling team ... as long as drinking was involved.

I consider myself to be a sports junkie. I will watch almost anything. That said, I tried (repeat with extreme emphasis TRIED) to watch curling. It looks like something Gray Wolf and Tippy Tom should be doing on the street. That last thing I saw that was so boring was solo synchronized swimming. I'm almost ashamed of living in NJ now....:action-sm

I think curling is cool. Especially when you have danish girls screaming "hard" in their savage tongue. Pretty cool. People bowl, why is this any more gay?

Ant sounded like he was interested in this, till he heard that the club shared shows, like a bowling alley. You could hear the drop in his voice after that.
A fancy man deserves how own curling shoes. I doubt you could run the club shoes thru an autoclave without screwing them up.

Except that Curling has more hot girls playing than Chess ever will.

I checked this site out yesterday, people at my job are obsessed w/ it...we will probably make this a night out after work, curling then copious consumption of adult beverages
for the oddest reason, curling is riveting and I have to try it

They did not show the streaker...I was watching and never saw it...of course they were going to so many commercials odds are they missed it anyhow b/c i doubt he would have interrupted a throw...

I'm hoping something closer to home would be set up, like on LI, or even in the City. Skyrink might be good for a City venue, while Iceworks in Syosset is nice for an LI venue.
